The NUFC Box Office - New Ticketing Fiasco!
Spider Jerusalem replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
Granted, the BO are trying to improve things and hopefully, through time, they will, but these Man U tickets have been left ridiculously late. What if you'd planned to go for the weekend. You couldn't go down early because your ticket hadn't arrived. As for picking up tickets at Old Trafford. You don't want to have to mess about doing things like that. You want your ticket before you set off. Hope they get things sorted soon. Oh, and they said they'd send me a refund for paying too much in avance for my season ticket, in July. Good job i'm not relying on that in a hurry. I'm not looking forward to trying to get into the game on Satuday either - cutting it fine again chaps. Howay, they took my cash out two months ago and they still haven't sent anything out. What about the people who need the Magpie Mover tickets as well. -
agree that he's a twat of the highest order....but have to say I admire him for not bottling it and calling the last minute freekick exactly what it was. a freekick. almost shit myself as he would have normally called a penalty there Even he couldn't have gotten away with that one - the one where Jonas got taken down in the first half stuck my in my throat, only for the cheating, red card earning (on a level playing field) Campbell to get a softer one late on that half.

Just got in and switched on Sky Sports News and the teletext to be told that ManUre didn't mangage to beat us was down to the fact that they didn't have all of thier players fit. Srange, as we've been told for year that they have such strength in depth and we obviously had a first eleven out there. Cnuts. Was impressed with Collocini, Jonas and Guthrie. Thought the match mostly passed Butt and Duff by and just another nail in the coffin of the rumour that N'Zogbia is a full back. Mike Riley should never be allowed to referee another Manure match ever again.

Diego Maradona - I'm going to dance on this fucker's grave!

Cautious. At the minute we have let more go than we have got in, BUT those that have been let go had little or no impact on the team last year through being crocked (Ramage / Emre / Carr), shite (Carr and hopefully Shola) or reserves (Triosi). Still feel that we need around six more bodies in at least though as the lack of numbers made squad rotation impossbile from the moment that Keegan came back through the door in January.
-
Top half would be nice, if we manage to bring in some quality to the squad. So far this is just about the same squad that managed to just about take us down last year - not that I'm worried about that, the three relegation places were just about sealed on play-off final day, and it wouldn't surprise me to see two two teams going for Derby's record next year.

Season Tickets due to arrive Thursday/Friday - see OP for latest
Spider Jerusalem replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
Why wouldn't he? He got his 500,000 a year salary plus millions in dividends either way.. Just using him as a model to compare the current regime against - one who it it widely regarded was taking out more than he put in freezes the prices after an appalling season, another raises ticket prices by around six times the official rate of inflation (or three times the real rate of inflation) after a season that made the Souness era look like a well organised outfit. -

Last season £583 for a ticket in the East Stand - this year £658. Robbing gits. Even Fat Fred had the decency to put a price freeze on ticket prices after a shite year. Don't trust this pay up front scheme either - come one, come all for the great Newcastle United cash grab. He's allegedly whinging about the size of the wage bill now, what's going to happen in two years when there's only a percentage of the season ticket money coming in. Or is he hoping that the money comes flooding in with the six players or so that we have left winning the champions league over the next two years. -
Joey Barton gets six months in jail - See page 4
Spider Jerusalem replied to morgs's topic in Football
That's true and I would like to think that after his contract was cancelled nobody would touch him with a barge pole. Unfortunately, football teams have no solidarity on driving scum / cheats / free loaders out of the game and once he was released there would be a few teams ready to pick him up for nowt - like Adrian Mutu when Chelsea had to chase through the courts to get compensation when he finished his lengthy ban for recreational substance abuse from whichever team picked him up (Juventus?). -
Pathetic Read that full thread and just had to say 'Poor Deluded Fools'! Forgot that they we're even there until about thirty minutes into the match when they finally managed 'something' might have been a corner or a goal kick to us. Get bummed in the face by your local rivals so claim that the opposition weren't singing enough. Desperate? Still, the whole 'Irish Revolution' is going great!

That must have been some 'red and white rocket' action going on there. http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/8/8a/507_cartman_redrocket.gif Their appalling support has also been overlooked by our 'lack of support' on thier webshite as well. Which seems a bit strange cos there were some deafening sound even in our East Stand (my place of residence) and when it did die down where was the response. http://www.newmexiconuts.net/catalog/tumbleweed.jpg

Was just hoping he'd go and stick the flag he was carrying into the ground in the Center Circle like Souness did in Turkey. Were all over them for the first thirty minutes. Think they must have had a fair amount of possession in the second half but they managed to make just one chance. How fat is Andy Reid? How shit is McShane?

Two of the best English defenders in all the time I've watched football are currently at Tottingham. Unfortunately neither can be relied on to be fit ten minutes from now. At any given moment.

Makes himself out to be a bit of a lodmouth tit in the media (such as the Right Move ads) for cash and then bitches about being hired to look like a lodmouth tit by the Beeb. What a loudmouth tit.

Souness - took over, said how good the squad was and was possibly the best he's ever worked with, then spent the next few months dismantling he squad and falling out with players, replaced them with 'proper' players like Lee Clark (free agent who looked like he was going out of the game) and Craig Moore (sacked by his previous club for allegedly turning up pissed for training. Basically took us back five years - to the point where we where when Bobby took the job on. DEAN SAUNDERS! Also proved to be one of the biggest liars and moaners in football over the past few months. January - would take the Newcastle job again 'in a heartbeat' by his own reckoning. Then three months later told the Irish media that we were such a bunch of shits that he's too traumatised to take any other management job (despite throwing his hat into the ring when any job becomes available). Maybe, just maybe Bellamy was telling the truth when he told Sky that he had lied about the incident that lead to his departure to Celtic. And that's another thing, his treatment of Bellamy knocked at least a couple of million of his transfer value as well. At least Roeder and Gullit knew the job was beyond them and walked instead of sitting and waiting for the pay off.

Allardyce Will Always Be Remembered For...
Spider Jerusalem replied to Crumpy Gunt's topic in Football
..... failing to take any responsibility whatsoever for the garbage on the field. Or almost out-Sounessing Souness as Mick put it. -
That was just typical of the reporting that's going on against the club. Happens at every ground without comment, as do the huge amount of fans going to matches dressed as empty seats but if it happens here then we get torn apart for it. Never mind thought. highligh of the game for me (crowd-wise) was two pissed-up buggers chanting 'There's only one Eye of Sauron' the first time that Hunt came close to us,

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/2008/03/31/tottenham-1-4-newcastle-89520-20368725/ The comment of 'Newcastle humiliated them to such an extent that White Hart Lane was virtually empty by the time the final whistle blew as disgusted fans voted with their feet. The supporters who did stay until the end booed their own players off and rightly so.' manged to really get my back up - apparently by the looks of it any other fans can walk out on or can boo their Champions League winning team (Liverpool) or Minor Cup winning team (Tottenham) and it's rightfully justified, but we can do the same watching possibly the worst football produced since the Premier League was formed and we're a bunch of twats who are responsible for getting rid of the greatest manager since Brian Clough popped his drunken clogs. Bastards. -
Another couple of wins and I fear that we may see the 'North East Top Dog' competition scrapped again this season. :'(
-
Aye - I also remember him on Sky saying that our squad was too small and Emre wasn't the right build for the Premier League. That was two weeks after he had been sacked. Sky wankers didn't pull him up with the facts that he had let more players go than he brought in during the previous summer and he had purchased the player he had said didn't have the physical attributes to play in the league.

Seem to recall it was the bastion of fair play John Terry as well. Hate to semi-quote myself but 'cunt of the highest order' springs to mind.
