  1. Do the bloke's ones have the off-the-shoulder look as well? Is it a hint we're signing Maguire and we need a big enough hole to get his massive swede through?
  2. It's a good hunting ground

Wonder if he thought the new Nike kits were disrespecting the flag...
  5. Grim. Contrast with the week of scenes there'd have been of we'd won the League Cup.
  6. If he's daft enough to take that job then it's no more than he DeZerbs.
  7. A gag gift I got from a mate for my birthday was a 99p charity shop find, a choose-your-own-adventure type book published 20 years ago where you play football matches, solo or against someone else with a different team's book - in this case as "Tyne Athletic". God knows how to play it because it seems mindboggling complicated from a brief flick through the rules but found it fascinating to think of some guy plotting it all out and some of the player profiles etc are amusing. A brief selection of some of the pages in spoiler

My lass grew up down south so has had no reason to go to Chicken Town until today, ahead of the Bruce Springsteen concert at the SoL.
  9. “You welcome the new manager like you welcomed me. You go all-in from the first day. And you keep believing and you push the team,” said Klopp, who sang the name of Arne Slot to the tune of one of the songs the crowd sing about him." Hmm, gives me a bit of a flashback to... "Sir Alex Ferguson bowed out in his final home game as Manchester United manager with a 2-1 win over Swansea City before thanking everyone for the "most fantastic experience of my life" and imploring fans to get behind his successor, David Moyes. "Your job now is to stand by our new manager. That is important," Ferguson said on what was a momentous afternoon."
  10. I'm curious if when it comes out it'll really be a "top presenter" given these are the same papers who headlined the story of a pissed up Danny Graham crashing his 4x4 into a Co-op with "premier league ace"

  12. Some thoughts from a reddit post which has a fair amount of poorly thought out or simply misinformed nonsense in it (like suggesting yellow cards are referred to VAR unless it's to check if it should have been straight red) although I'm intrigued by the idea of the VAR blokes not knowing what the referee's initial decision is and so not letting that affect them
  13. That forearm tattoo is almost as bad as Lewis Miley's

Their North Shields-born keeper Patterson was a childhood Toon fan, but is very diplomatic in terms of not mentioning it while talking about things like how he understands how much the derby means as a fan from up here, letting them assume he's always been an MLF.

It's an opinion piece, so they've just let some random heed the ball write an extended letter to them and published it as an article I think. Doubt he was even paid for it.
  17. People saying Onana should have covered the post better, maybe he was distracted by the Palace lad being given ten yards of space in his box.
