If he played shouldnt it have been 4-3? At least There was a lass in the crowd, Duttyman's kyptonite and only weakness. If the physio had been on the ball he would have countered by tossing him a tin of Ambrosia Sport, which Nile could have crushed in his fist, catching the resulting custard torrent in a pipe and flexing his muscles to reveal a pair of runaway steam trains in order to indicate he was back to his 4+ goal scoring, ho supermanning best.

if keegan hadnt quit, there'd be no thread. nobody complained about this stuff/anything before he quit, now its a huge issue. picking faults/nitpicking etc. Yes they did, and they were told not to believe all this media rubbish about "Toon Turmoil" behind the scenes, deals being done over Keegan's head or Denis Wise calling the shots ahead of the manager.

Someone was telling me that Supermac had suggested Bobby Moncur as caretaker...

Carlton Cole ripped our defence to shreds several times. Carlton fucking Cole. Can't really say anything about the match that's not been said, as usual it was a canny weekend away ruined by 90 minutes of football. Cracking support from the fans though, especially in the second half (although sadly I got to see the best and the worst of our lads this weekend, but nevermind) He got a fucking bonus point in the official fantasy league! For people who don't play it, the man of the match according to them is awarded 3 bonus points and then one player is awarded 2 and one player 1. So he was our best player and the third best player on the pitch apparently!

On the plus side, we could fit some good songs about Donadoni to the tune of "The One and Only" He is the Donadoniiii, nobody we'd rather see, Apart from Kevin Keegan, Yeah, thanks for that, Mike Ash-er-ley

Sadly, nothing about these recent reports surprises me apart from the fact he knows who Alan Campbell is.

Poyet - Magpies in a mess http://www.skysports.com/story/0,19528,11661_4157002,00.html Sure this will be spun as "Gus shuns sorry Toon"

So, has he told the police about this 'assault'? If he has it would add a hell of a lot of credibility because it would make him lying or exaggerating a criminal offence.
-
Feel sorry for the guy to be honest, he's fucked up but he seems a nice enough bloke.

Watched a twat of a steward go get 2 coppers to flank him while he took down an anti-wise banner. Didn't see many banners stuck up apart from that one, although I only got in the ground for kick off. Were they confiscating them? Didn't go and have a look at any of the protests, but my mate's a sports photographer and goes around the country taking photos of footy matches for the press. He wasn't even stationed inside the ground for today though, his boss put him outside to try and catch anything kicking off I'm sure I'll hear from him if anything went on, going for a pint with him in a bit seeing as he's up here for the weekend on work.
-
Surprised to see such a positive response, I thought he was poor to be honest - looked thrown in at the deep end, lost and confused. Not that I'm passing judgement on the lad for that performance, it's to be expected. Maybe I was just distracted by other things going on in the ground.
-
Almost fucking inevitable that result. Good metaphor for the past week, utter fucking shit with a little glimmer of hope at the end which came to nothing. I've no fucking idea where we go from here, absolutely no idea. Is there any point talking about the players? Xisco looked lost, but that's not particularly surprising. Ameobi was even worse than I remember him. Guthrie looked OK but then became an absolute fucking idiot, who exactly are we going to replace him with for 3 games? Not looking forward to West Ham, only good thing is that the actual match will probably be a drunken blur because I'm going down on the Friday.
-
You got back from the match fucking quick.
-
Can't really make a judgement on this without knowing what 'compromise' was offered. "Come back, I'll be your friend and give you a pay rise", "I'll ask Dennis to get your more players next time" or "Right, I'll sack the lot of them, you can be in charge."
-
If I remember correctly, West Ham were the first team at SJP after Northern Rock collapsed and gloated "Shit bank, no funds". Do we get to sing "Shit planes, no flights" when we go down there?

You'd be no wiser after reading 19 pages than you are after reading the thread title
-
Fuck knaas, all anyone knows is he's met with Ashley in London.
-
So... Do we still kick off tomorrow or not? With petrol prices the way they are I can't afford to go lobbing these molotovs about if Keegan could be coming back, I'll just pour them back in the Fiesta.
-
If Ashley is in talks to sell, being able to say "Keegan say's he'll come back as manager if you give him a decent transfer budget and let him pick his own transfer targets" would make it a more attractive proposition than we are at the moment.
-
Two things Firstly, Keegan coming back would be fucking stupid, but this entire fucking thing has been stupid from start to finish and I'd grab a KK return with both hands at the moment simply because some of the alternatives are too horrible to contemplate, which is not surprising seeing as how unattractive we are to managers currently. Even if he doesn't last, I presume his return would mean we've abandoned The System, which would make life easier for the next manager. Secondly, can even the most dedicated KK lovers not get their hopes massively up, like we did when co.uk announced "Keegan not sacked". Or if you do get your hopes up, keep them to yourself rather than crowing to Sky and Mackem mates who've been ripping the piss out of you for the past week.
-
OK, I go away from this board for an hour and I come back to a ten page thread about Keegan meeting Ashley. I'm beginning to think this entire episode is some kind of bizarre dream sequence and I'm going to wake up in the morning to find Kevin Keegan coming out of the shower having never resigned.
-
I really don't understand where this has come from, if we want to chance it on a manager without premiership experience, why pay to get one from a premier league club?
-
18% say all of the above, so adding that 54% blame him. 98.8% blame Ashley or someone he appointed
-
Would people actually want Keegan to come back under Ashley or would it be incredibly idiotic for all concerned?
