  1. As far as the fee goes, international or not he's a right back who can't get in our side in the Championship ahead of a midfielder. Also downgrade?, same answer, can't get in ahead of Anita FFS, how can anyone be a big downgrade on that?
  2. He'll be canny in the Championship as well. All you need is one outstanding attribute to do well in this league. Is this a loan BTW?, haven't been keeping up with it.
  3. I'd rather play a shit 5 foot nothing central midfielder at right back than this lad, amazing if we get £7.5m for him. Anita also improved us for the last several games last season, looked far better than Janmaat. He gets forward a lot, but for so long all he's produced are hopeful floated crosses to nobody. Down the other end he's either not there or loses his man at the crucial moment. I don't know if he's just been found out or lost interest but either way I'm happy to see him go. Gets some more cash in for Rafa to spend in this window.
  4. They all think he's a very good player on their forum, but he was running down his contract (June 2017) and then got a serious leg break so they've been resigned to losing him for a while now.
  5. Once we get a better right back then yes he should be backup at best. Janmaat's job should be tea lady or something.
  6. This is absolute bollocks by the way, unsurprisingly from this poster. Ayoze wasn't a passenger. He won the ball back with a fantastic tackle that lead to the Gayle freekick goal, he got pulled back which lead to the freekick for the 1st goal, played a lovely through ball to Hayden which resulted in us nearly scoring and made some delightful runs and touches in the first half. He was nowhere near his best but to say he was a passenger is bollocks I note you quote my post but look back at previous posts by TIoteWD ....confirms my assesment of him as well. So im not alone in thinking his performance was just so dissapointing , not for the first time. Its about opinions and i have mine, he will be dropped for Mitro...why? Because he's not good enough. So theirs two of you who think that, wow, hardly confirms anything, plenty disagree. I didnt go back far but i can if you wish Aye why not, you could tally up everyone who agreed and disagreed, time well spent.

  8. Don't agree on those two, Mbemba did ok and was certainly the best defender there, but he made a couple of silly mistakes that could have caused us real problems. Perez was chasing down the defence/keeper as much as Gayle and running in behind. Unfortunately a lot of passes to him where lumped up in the air, he does look out of form, but I can't say he looked like he wasn't trying or out of his depth. Fair play everyone sees what they see but I don't understand how you can say Perez was trying, he never pressed the game once and it was evident because he was only one not actually doing it, I don't rate him as such anyway but regardless I was shocked at how bad and disinterested he actually looked. Prime example was when Gayle was doubled up on right on the corner spot and Perez was standing about 20 yards away for the entire time he was battling and didn't make himself available, it was shocking and wasn't the only instance of this. Gayle is as small if not smaller and goes up for absolutely every ball, Perez barely makes an effort and his feet rarely leave the ground, it might be cliche but the championship will be completely out of his depth if he doesn't learn to get stuck in to the game. I can't remember every instance during the game so you might be right on that example, I can only go off my general feeling watching it. I certainly remember Perez chasing down the defence and keeper, if he wasn't I'd have been screaming at him to get his arse in gear. Yeah he's less physical, he's never going to lead the line. But that's the kind of player he is, he needs a different kind of service, its no good hitting him with long balls. If that's how we're going to play then we need to move Perez to the left and stick Mitrovic their instead when his suspension is over.

  10. He wasn't great but don't think he looked tired either. He was still sticking his foot in/closing people down in the second half. Also played some good early passes, particularly a free kick on the second half where he put Gayle (?) clean through, unfortunately he'd gone slightly too early and was offside.

    Vurnon Anita

His side was ripped apart? Most of the attacks came down Dummett's side.

Definitely prefer Anita to Janmaat at right back.
  13. Nah,, couldn't miss another match so got a ticket. Sitting in Wetherspoons now waiting for my prematch burger and chips.
  14. Fucking hell match started already?, who scored?
  15. Probably been asked already, but is this match once again not being shown on any channel on earth?
  16. Aye, three games is far too long to give a manager who's proven to be a winner everywhere he's gone like Disagreeing with decisions is one thing, but having a go at him at this stage is absolutely pathetic. Recruitment isn't finished BTW. I hardly call is a problem that people on here want to give their trust to a manager who's proven he's top class, quite the opposite.
  17. Of course, was just talking about the previous post referring to a tactic to only spend what we bring in.
  18. No indication that we have to sell Sissoko to buy more players. Just because we haven't signed anyone lately doesn't mean we haven't been making bids.
  19. Looks like BeIN Sport is showing something else, no channels at all listing the match. Their are some claims of Bet365 showing it but don't get your hopes up Can't believe a league game isn't available to watch anywhere, its like being back in the 90s FFS!
  20. How? Is he going to fix our problems getting the ball from the back to the final third of the pitch and then delivering the ball into goal scoring opportunities? We looked much better every time he came on in the end of season run in.
  21. Are you fucking mental or what?
  22. Hopefully once everything is completed with Pogba Juventus can waste a bit of money on Sissoko.
  23. Nobody's offered £5m either but do you reckon that means we couldn't sell him for £5m?, we're sticking to our valuation of £35m, that's why we haven't had any bids at the moment. Clubs still have plenty of time left in the window so they won't offer the top price yet. We've had lots of stories about enquiries at lower valuations but we've obviously given those clubs no indication that we'll even consider a lower bid. I think the only time we'll get lower bids coming in is later in the window if he's still here. Clubs will think we might panic with time running out.
