  1. Just watch the chance Bale missed in the first half tonight. He's shite him...
  2. At no point during that final move did Shola set foot in the box. Ambling about without a care in the f****in' world. Meanwhile, Cisse makes up 20 yards on a hunch and almost gets us a priceless winner, yet people slag him...
  3. I was instinctively convinced this useless f****r With Benny back, I'd fancy us to score over there. What's their pitch like? We're abysmal on poor pitches. Should be decent if it was a Euro2012 venue?

From RTG re their attendance yesterday (despite widespread talk of freebies having been handed out)... "46,400 and summit, tremendous effort. Best fans in the world in terms of numbers in comparison to success."
  5. Still trying to get my head round anyone genuinely believing Andy Carroll is no better than Danny Graham. For his size, Carroll is also no slouch. Ask Michael Turner and Titus. How easily folk on here forget.
  6. Caulkin was the first to shed light on today's happy development.
  7. Yes. Personally I think it's Haidara, he looks short and stocky. Definitely NUFC property - the guy with the moustache on the extreme left is a long-time club security guard.
  8. Mira scored via a deflection in a 2-2 draw at Man Utd too, I recall. Absurd player, really. Would shoot from anywhere. Out Oba'd Oba. I still have my NUFC/Brazil ski hat...
  9. Lets hope It's a lad. Get a pre contract signed. The son he already has started training with our U7 academy kids aged 5. A right little hard nut, according to a lad I know who coached him.
  10. Ollie Bainbridge. Aged 8. Plays for Harton & Westoe Vipers. Already swapped SAFC Academy for Man City. Best young player North East scouts have seen for a decade, apparently.
  11. If we were to loan Lescott, for example, until May, I wouldn't be too against that. Still need another centre-back on top of that though. Lescott makes perfect sense to try and get on a loan, we really need to try and make that happen. No way will we stump up anything significant for his wages. He's on almost 100k-a-week...

Still with this s***, man. Tbf didn't you say yesterday that you don't trust them either? I did, yes. That doesn't mean that I'll indulge in conspiracy theories. It's not a last minute, deadline day, bid for a player we had no chance of getting. Our interest has been widely reported, in local, national and French media. There doesn't appear to be any suggestion that we're not actively trying to secure a replacement for Ba, and it'd be absolute suicide to not do so. What about theory based on the evidence of previous transfer windows?
  13. Richard Dunne is woeful, worse than Williamson. Not that there's any truth in it like. I assure you, he's not.
  14. Davie Provan still mentioned the blindingly obvious re Santon/Cisse there. Tool.
  15. So he was waiting to see if Everton gained an advantage there - facing their own goal, in their own box. Ffs Atkinson.
  16. Christ, it's excruciating watching Williamson play in the Premier League.
  17. Don't be daft man it was Tiote's fault apparently. Obertan has to take responsibility. Why turn away from a modern football? Gutless.

You mention O'Neill, at half time on Saturday he had the mackems above us in the league and he's been slaughtered on here for being s****. But how much did he get to spend this summer?

My favourite away games that season were probably Peterborough and Cambridge, Barnsley was always a good day out but the result wasn't good and we usually did well against them. aye pterbrough was canny, barnsley my exhaust fell off the car on the way. millwall and grimsby were pretty good as they lasted about 3 days each. the oxford game at home on the tuesday, or thursday night after grimsby- was weird. only thing I can remember is that bloke and his keys. Freaky, but the only time I've had an exhaust fall off on me was on the way to... Barnsley away (90-91). Not sure what world the Mackems live in. Even in 90-91 (post play-off defeat) we would routinely take 7000-plus away anywhere remotely northern. Favourite pre KK awaydays: West Ham (1-8 defeat 86), Sheff Wed boxing day (86?), Spurs (cup fifth round 87), Man U (Mirandinha 2-2 87). was at them the spurs one been discussed a few times on here for the crush. Crazy day. Had our lot not forced their way into the two pens the two coppers wanted kept empty, people would have died. Unbelievable atmosphere. Spurs-supporting mate of mine was on their "Shelf" and reckoned the structure of the away end was swaying during the Blaydon Races. Hell on afterwards as well. Great fun for a 16-y-old!!
