On the KK days, it wasn't just match day but the Friday and Monday as well. A personal anecdote was that we had a RE lesson every other Monday and Friday - Catholic school so taken seriously on the whole and taught by a priest. A good 3/4 of the lesson s were dedicated to the weekend's game. We are a tanker, it may take a little while to turn around but the momentum that is built when club and city are aligned is something else. Trophies won won't really matter (lets be honest our tag of not having won anything since the 60s will just be replaced by buying silverware in the press anyway) but the ride for people will be like no other -
The irony if Rafa turns Joelinton into Torres v2

Rafa, if for nothing other than the folding of his glasses after each sweet victory

So we're all in agreement that we should cancel this season now and next season is all that matters now? -

Guess Colback is sticking round a bit longer I can't see that being legally binding - there will be someone out there who has signed a pre-contract with a hefty pay rise in it who will challenge it -

Aside from this being bollocks, theoretically investing in a premier league club now could be seen to be one of the safest bets going. The rest of the world is going to ruin, but Premier League revenues will continue to rise -

And if we can't finish before next season's European competition starts? As above, either Uefa make the decision for the FA with the schedule for next season or every league agrees to the same delayed schedule -

We got in through the back door a few times but the key difference is that the previous board looked for any route in, the current one look for any excuse to avoid it -

Could it be that it's actually UEFA who decide what happens to the season? If they plough on with Champions League as normal next season then surely the decision on whether to extend our season or not is made for us? -

So my initial thought is how hilarious it would be for the league to be voided and Liverpool denied the trophy. 25 points clear and didn't win it - biggest collapse ever. Then I got to thinking, Liverpool fans are the ones who should be calling for it to be voided and the rest of us just saying give it to them. This season is already tainted, every review is going to be dominated by the suspension of the league and (probable) cancellation of the Euros/Olympics etc. Add to that 2 disappointing domestic cup exists, an early exit from the Champions League, frankly a boredom of the procession since Christmas and the fact that the winners will always be Liverpool*. I'd say this is the worst possible season to break the 30 year duck and the motivation of the team to right it next season must be huge. What Liverpool fan wants that? I'm thinking back to some memorable wins (which this should have been for them) and its all been late drama and exit velocity that defines them with the exception of the invincibles which is just a remarkable stat. Thinking 96/97 (the hunt down of the 12 point lead), 99 Champions League injury time goals, Istanbul and penalties, Aguerrrooooooooo. No one gives a shit about what went one before. And of course a lot of the louder Scousers (key word in there) would find it more satisfying to have the denial of the league to bitch about then to actually win it. So I say give them the league now. -
Nah, it my bad post - wasn't saying you missed a French, I needed one before wingers
-
Should N'Zogbia on that list as well? Probably, first 5 wingers I thought of were put down but you could add more french wide players to the list to be a complete spectrum - Bernard, Pancrate immediately come to mind Solano? I'd go: Solano Robert Ginola HBA Sellars Gillespie ASM Obertan Toss up between Robert and Solano, like, they were both mint but in different ways. Missed out a French in my post, otherwise yes Solano and Gillespie have to be in or threatening the top 5
