Well one likes to break legs and the other basically said he hates playing football

It's so far back I don't want to check but did he predict good news in a couple of weeks. I know he predicted a statement, now, and something about a few weeks. But there is no way anybody can know that the outcome in a few weeks will be good. A selection of mimms recent posts. Progress I mentioned is due to a different direction that the lawyers have explored/exploited. Last thing I’m saying on here. Been told there will be another statement this week. It maybe a few weeks before the champagne gets opened, but there will be positive news coming out more and more in the next few days then in the next few weeks. Not completed yet but everything is going into the final stages. Didn't think of looking at his posts. I'm still dubious as to whether anybody can be certain about the outcome. I guess they can't be certain but if the king of Lawyers is involved it's probably like doing a test where you have been given all the answers. If he's looked at the case, looked at the law and thinks we have a case, confidence must be pretty high.

Considering it went through about 5 of our lads he can probably be forgiven. He's been way better than I thought he would be given his previous run in the team at PL level.

He looks every bit like a free transfer from Burnley.

Seems like one of the few times we've loaned somebody out and actually brought them back into the team. It's been bad timing for him, he signed when Rafa wasn't getting much money to spend yet we spent £12m on him and he was nowhere near ready for Premier League football. I love that he researched Patricio on free kicks, not sure if that's the done thing or not but fair play, ultimately got us a point.

Someone was slagging off his half time comments in this thread which I disagreed with, I thought he was pretty much on the money. Dyer was a pretty decent pundit IMO, didn't shy away from giving his opinion, and spoke well for the most part. I know a significant number of our fans hated him when he was here because he was perceived as arrogant, but he was a big part of one the best NUFC teams I had the privilege to watch. It's clear he got some bad medical advice when he was here which isn't really his fault. Though having read his book he didn't exactly always put football first and didn't seem to grasp that effected people's perception of him. Agree though we were usually a better team with him in it, he was good in midfield but Souness playing him as a second striker took him on a level.

Fraser has played wingback and even fullback on occasion for Bournemouth so don’t rule that out

At first I thought they were stupid for basically saying they'd rather bring a guy out of retirement than trust their youth but I guess they must worry that all three keepers could have to isolate after International duty and if there's a space in the squad then why not?
-
I usually wildcard over an International break but I feel like there's every chance loads of players could end up in quarantine

You don't appreciate just how much shitehousery goes on with Burnley until you see them live. They basically play for throw ins and take what feels like hours over each and every one. We will get 0 and if they have an ounce of ambition they will get 1.

It's why we played Distin at left back for quite a bit, he just defended and let Larry Bob do his thing going the other way.

Considering the goals will probably be shown on Sky just after they've gone in it is not a tenner I will be spending

It just feels like a square peg in a round hole. Mourinho is a winner, for the most part, and Spurs have rarely won anything. They have a squad full of players who are not of the mentality Mourinho has been working with previously and as a result they aren't responding to what he is saying or doing. We've probably all become experts in Spurs from watching All or Nothing but I think he comes across very well but it seems obvious to me that the squad has no leaders. Kane might be their best player but that doesn't make him a leader, he's not particularly inspiring. If you could offer a defence, they were off the pace today as many teams will be in the first few weeks - Liverpool were bang average yesterday but their key man stepped up when it mattered, I know it was two penalties but he was their sharpest player on the pitch by a mile. The formation Mourinho is using seems needlessly elaborate though. Doherty (and previously Aurier) is so high up you've then essentially got a back three but with a gaping hole down the right when they lose possession. I guess Sissoko is meant to cover there but why not just play an actual right back? It's a strange hill to die on and for what? To get your right back playing further forward?

Can see Krafth, Longstaff, Almiron, Joelinton and maybe even Gillespie all starting at the very least. I think they need to get minutes into as many legs as possible as the games come thick and fast (if you win the cup games at least).

Mad how their solution is to throw £30m at James Tarkowski (and have it rejected). Lunatics.

Apparently Steer is Villa's first choice until Heaton is back. Nyland was just in because Steer and Heaton were out injured (and Reina was insane)
