  1. Mbappe isn't made for anyone but Real Madrid, PSG and potentially Man City or Barca. Nobody else will cave in to his ridiculous demands.
  2. This game week sucks. I have no clue what to do
  3. Sorry, but you can’t blame anyone else for missing those howling sitters. You have to finish one on ones when you have that much time through on goal. Finishing was fucking shite and he will need to work on it. This I was speaking in more general terms from earlier matches I've seen. I haven't seen highlights from the West Ham match so I'll just take your word for it and hope it's an anomaly rather than the norm for him.
  4. Could soon, if not already, suffer from the HBA-condition that he's running with the ball, has no options, tries to do it all by himself, fails thus fall subject to criticism due to the ineptitude of the manager and/or team because it was him that lost the ball.
  5. Due to incomplete information given by Cardiff to the Premier League
  6. Personality aside, he's world class, experienced and can play across the entire front 4 in OGS system. I don't see why not as a stop gap solution? Van Persie came in around the same age and gave Man Utd their last league title.
  7. Exhibit A: https://www.cardiffcityfc.co.uk/news/2019/january/record-signing--emiliano-sala-is-a-bluebird Exhibit B: https://www.fifa.com/about-fifa/who-we-are/news/decision-grounds-on-the-transfer-of-the-late-emiliano-sala-now-available-on-lega
  8. Bale is exactly what Man Utd need. Swap for Pogba + money and spend the money on a more suitable partner for McTominay and they have a very balanced squad that should be capable of getting into the top 4 again.
  9. There's few others I'd prefer between the sticks for a desperate reaction save than Given but other than that his stature made him weak in the box and it seemed like he was aware of that since he rarely came off his line to pick up balls. His distribution wasn't great either, albeit a bit exaggerated on here. All in all above average keeper in his time, and he would still be above average today, in a league below De Gea/Kepa/Allison/Schmeicel.
  10. Shay Given would be in his own league above the likes of De Gea?
  11. I'd accept a comparison between Almiron and Jonas, but ASM and Jonas? Naaaah
  12. Fuck Cardiff man. All emotion and empathy aside, it must suck balls to cough up £15m to another club for a player they never got, but they just have to suck it up and pay. He clearly was a Cardiff player and it's ridiculous to suggest otherwise.

    Sunderland

Because it's hypocritical and makes you look stupid.

    Sunderland

Last thing we should do is laugh/criticise Sunderland fans for abusing a negligent/incompetent owner
  15. How about you don't give it to him for free and see how much desire he really has if there's strings attached to getting tickets.
  16. Would rather just that they fine tune the way VAR is used to get a more fair judgment of the game tbh. Lots of things that worked fine before has been improved by technology and this will too eventually.
  17. I don't think it was just a case of pretending. With Rafa we had a crucial and powerful force within the club fighting against that current, that gave us a hope and a stake. This is it for me as well. When Rafa was here I knew he would fight for the sporting side of club with tooth and nail, he understood the fans and had the necessary leverage to force Ashley to go against his will. With the way he saved the club and built a bridge between the club and fans again I thought there was no way Ashley would be so stupid to gamble on not retaining him and eventually cave in to Rafas demands re: training facilities and transfer policy but for the umpteenth time I underestimated his ego. If Rafa couldn't force a change with the leverage and support within the club he had then nobody can. It has to be us fans that does it, and the only way to do it is to abandon the club until he hasn't got a choice but sell. Good results are only hindering the progress of the club so I'm just annoyed when we win or draw.
  18. Not a problem since everyone captained him this week.
  19. Yup, imagine the fight Rafa must have had to convince LC and MA to spend that money on him because of his age.

    St James' Park

Perfect example of short-termism from the council
  21. It could have gone worse. You could have gotten fewer votes than Paulie Belta.

    England

Good solution imo. Tickets were free as well and they brought a lot of kids in through charity organisations who normally wouldn't have been able to go to a match.
  23. I think they are pretty similar players, but I also think they should work well in Rafas system since they seem to be decent all-rounders, being able to support an attack, play a killer pass, have a decent shot in them, press the ball and fall back. As long as they have a good understanding of covering each other I don't see what the issue with them being similar is.

    Transfer rumours

Would be fun to see him on the right wing again to make space for Joelinton.
  25. First time ever that I've occupied 1st place in the N-O league I think Not bad that the top 2 are Norwegians.
