Doubt anything will ever beat Cacapa vs.....Portsmouth...?

https://www.readytogo.net/smb/threads/top-10-biggest-waste-of-money-safc-and-nufc-have-signed.1470633/ Wijnaldum and Mitrovic a waste of money? Ok. How much profit did we make on both of them? If doubling your money is wasting it, I'd love to waste mine every week. Bunch of weirdos.

Even without commercial and match day income we'd be above or on par with WBA, Huddersfield, Swansea, Stoke, and £1m under Watford. The way this club is run, Ashley doesn't need a single bum on any of the seats in the stadium.
-
Straight swap for Rondon if WBA gets promotion.
-
Aye, and also the free pizza to keep morale up around mid-season. Wise investments!

At the time of signing OGS you'd struggle to find a reason why not, but it's still a bit weird why they did it when they did when there was no reason to sign him permanently until the summer anyway. I'll admit I kind of fell into the trap of thinking although he's not a very good manager, it could be that he just fits the club perfectly due to his background and philosophy. Although the results in April have been bad, it's been against difficult opposition including 2 games against Barca where they weren't expected to get a result in either games anyway.

Just saw the result.... OOF!

Matt Ritchie (now Technical Director at Bournemouth)

He had a really good game. All over the pitch. Generally did the right thing when he had the ball. Started the attack for the second by playing Rondon through and sacrificed himself with the assist for the third which came at a crucial time seeing as Soton was all over us at that point. If it wasn't for Ayozes hattrick he would have been my motm. -
He's nothing like Ben Arfa, unless you want to describe him as more hard working and slightly faster without the ball in his feet, but with poorer shooting, passing, technique, first touch and dribling.
-
Fernandez did a good job when he came in. Dummett has done an excellent job covering for Lejeune, and we still have Clarke ready to step in for either of the healthy CBs if needed.
-
MOTM Perez for obvious reasons, but also really good performance by Ritchie who's been running hell on Southampton all game, Dummett for solid and good last ditch defending and Hayden.
-
Pay attention the to game old geezer!
-
Yeah, Diame in for Ki about now is a good shout.
-
Hope someone kicks the head off one of the Southampton players. Don't care whom.
-
Fuck off Southampton. Players clearly instructed to go in hard on Almiron.
-
Would be funny if they drew with Doncaster today, and Doncaster missing out on the last play off spot to Coventry and Sunderland to get the second play off spot so they're primed to get sentenced to another season in league 1.
-
None of those were bought/brought in from elsewhere either though were they?
-
 "our shared ambitions being to stay in the PL"?
-
Would love for us to go for Sessegnon for the LWB position.

You better pray Gallowgate End doesn't see that post
-
Understandable that they haven't got time to prepare a contract offer to Benitez when they're too busy brain storming plausible excuses for not spending money.

I think it's one of the most funny ongoing quirks on this forum tbh Literally none cares or mentions Bournemouth nor Howe on here except for a few days before and after we play them, yet he keeps swinging at him as if there was a big opposition on here fighting for Eddie Howes reputation
-
bah gawd why wouldn't they sort it from highest to lowest
-
It's a bit silly to think it's that easy tbh, there's dozens of examples of clubs throwing money at something and still failing. The money helps obviously but when you're as good as City are it goes way deeper than money. Not to mention they only bought one player this past summer anyway, in terms of last year to this year most of what makes them good is self improvement from what's already there. We've been on that side of the scale so we should know! If money was all that's required, we should have won the league in '96, we wouldn't have been relegated in '17 etc etc
