He does what Kevin Nolan does best today. Not much graft or skill, but just extremely effective at getting into good positions and bossing areas in and around the box. The thing about Nolan is that he's gone from having an entire team built around him at Bolton to just being a cog in a (highly dysfunctional) machine. It's no surprise that he was at his most effective under Big Sam when Bolton's strategy pretty much revolved around him and Davies. It's up to him to adapt his game to suit his new situation. And while early signs don't look promising, we've spent 3m on the bloke and we should at least give him some time to see if he can do it or not.

Him and Martins are both strikers with pace but the contrast between the two is startling. Unlike Martins he knows exactly how to use his pace and run into space and also seems to have a good finish. On the other hand he he hasn't got anything like Martins' sheer strength and unpredictability. Both can be assets for different reasons. Sign him up imo.

Seeing as how Villa away tickets are sold out, how bad of an idea would it be for me to sit in a home seat at Villa Park to watch us on the last day?
