  1. We have more possession, they have better chances. To be expected.
  2. "Are you watching Merseyside" Yes they are, because they're being fucking forced to like the rest of us.
  3. If we score or concede while they're showing this shit I am going to break the spacetime barrier, jump into the screen, and break every single Setanta broadcaster's fucking neck.
  4. jesus christ why is Arsene Wenger being interviewed in French being shown now. Fucking insanity
  5. if I see one more happy person in a Man U shirt I'm going to throw up. Fucking get on with it.
  6. Nothing glamorous, just the $500 minimum it takes to cross the Atlantic. Worst was when I paid $1100 to get a ticket to see us get thrashed 3-0 at home to Liverpool under Allardyce. Once i head back home (South Korea) that $500 minimum is going to become a $1000 minimum 14 hour flight too

    Xisco

He probably has the best goals to minutes ratio out of any of our strikers
  8. He does what Kevin Nolan does best today. Not much graft or skill, but just extremely effective at getting into good positions and bossing areas in and around the box. The thing about Nolan is that he's gone from having an entire team built around him at Bolton to just being a cog in a (highly dysfunctional) machine. It's no surprise that he was at his most effective under Big Sam when Bolton's strategy pretty much revolved around him and Davies. It's up to him to adapt his game to suit his new situation. And while early signs don't look promising, we've spent 3m on the bloke and we should at least give him some time to see if he can do it or not.

Pretty random tangent, but it seemed pretty awkward when Steven Taylor was handing him his MotM champagne during the Setanta interview. I'm probably reading too deeply into it but perhaps he's a bit aloof and doesn't really get along with the lads that well? (Understandable I suppose given his age/reputation)
  11. Always thought he was playing below his ability for a while now. Hopefully he'll continue to be an unspectacular but solid contributor.
  12. Him and Martins are both strikers with pace but the contrast between the two is startling. Unlike Martins he knows exactly how to use his pace and run into space and also seems to have a good finish. On the other hand he he hasn't got anything like Martins' sheer strength and unpredictability. Both can be assets for different reasons. Sign him up imo.

    Jonas Gutierrez

Lets give Colo and Jonas another season before we turn them into the new Boumsong and Babayaro. See how they do in a team that's not utterly hopeless and dysfunctional. Assuming we stay up, that is.

He can go enjoy his retirement with all our gratitude. Wonder if somebody can convince him to come play for a year in the K-League...
  15. All is forgiven. He could fuck off to some European side in the summer and he'd still be my hero.

Viduka was Berbatov before there was a Berbatov. Class player, would have been one of the best players of the past decade if he wasn't such a crock.
  17. His best form playing as centre-back was under Keegan though. So it sounds to me another case of him arse licking the management as he has done in the past. I wonder what excuses people will use for him now he's had "individual coaching" when he comes back to being horrific in the centre. They’ll probably just pick one the many excuses put forward to justify Collocini’s pathetic performances. ST is decent player with a good attitude. Based on what exactly? i dont think nayone can argue that he is decent. especially at rb. I can argue it and I will. It's always the same with Taylor fans, they can't actually name me what he's good at when he's playing at centre half. Anyways this topic has been derailed enough. comes down to an undividuals definiton of 'decent' i guess doesnt it. Still not mentioned what he's decent at. HEADERS! Best natural finisher we have. fact

Assuming we stay up, changed his place in the history of the club today. From a money-grabbing waster to potential cult hero.
  19. Seeing as how Villa away tickets are sold out, how bad of an idea would it be for me to sit in a home seat at Villa Park to watch us on the last day? Obviously I wouldn't be wearing colors or anything but I don't think I'd be able to hide my emotions if we score/concede/stay up/go down. Would the Villa supporters around me be hostile/not bothered? Particularly considering that Villa have nothing to play for? Thanks
  20. I agree, but the problem then is who plays wide? Hopefully we can get Jose back so Duff can be pushed up.
  21. What's he saying? On the verge of tears and babbling a lot of nonsense.
  22. Bates for that third goal Poor lad is probably going to get stoned in the dressing room.
  23. even odds now. It's all in our hands.
  24. Mark Viduka just changed his entire legacy at Newcastle United with that performance today.
