  1. Did Wycombe last season on a ground hop mission. Was impressed by the trains from London (Marylebone). Chiltern railways. Took about an hour I think and trains were dead comfortable even in standard areas. Can Remember passing Wembley but can't remember if we stopped near it. Hopefully trains will be on after reading previous posts. Today will be key I suppose because of the 14 days strike notice needed. Don't think they would announce one tomorrow/Sunday.
  2. Log in. Click on tickets and I think the top heading has a enter ballot button to hit.
  3. Separate because each one has a higher priority eligibility? If they bypass people with a higher priority to allow others in lower pots the chance to buy then the priority aspect is being ignored surely. Should be able to apply for that 3rd ticket tomorrow though as you say.
  4. The e mail re the ballot says the ballot will be drawn randomly but we've only got their word of course.
  5. Not convinced there is tbh. I don't see them depriving someone with higher eligibility criteria to hold some back.
  6. It's possible I suppose but would be surprised if they lumped people from 4 different categories into the same ballot. As you say, the date for being told whether successful or not is the same but the way I understand it is there'll be a ballot for the P4 applicants then should tickets be left afterwards it'll go to a further ballot for P5 and so on.
  7. When you say you have to wait for friends in lower ranked pots, I assume that's only if you want to sit together? Can apply individually as soon as your turn comes round otherwise?
  8. I have seen £2.10 postage fee mentioned so maybe that suggests paper tickets.
  9. I can see why people didn't want season tickets/gave up theirs pre takeover because we had become a pointless club, one that merely existed. Personally I briefly gave up mine after 29 years then took a gamble by getting another pre-takeover. I agree with you though and have said the same myself. Season tickets and associated benefits were indeed readily available.
  10. Aye, true. Just quite surprised that there seems to be less emphasis on pts and more on cup games attended.
  11. I'm amazed to think that being in pot 4 (zero pts now. Lost my old stash when I temporarily gave it up) gives me more chance than someone with 100s of points who hasn't been to any of the cup ties., if I understand it correctly of course.
  12. I saw that advert too. As well as having a charter train on, they are saying they are also using LNER trains and worryingly it states police will not allow alcohol on board trains or coaches. Oh well, might do me a favour cos will have had a good 10 hours in London. Charter train leaves at 8 and gets there at 2 both ways. Didn't know the Flying Scotsman had came out of retirement.
  13. Might be different with Chelsea but was there in 98 and 99 v Arsenal then Man U and was fine. Unless I was too pissed to remember it clearly.
  14. 1st train down on the day, one of the later trains back (20.47) ticket or no ticket. Geordies here, Geordies there, Geordies every f***king where!
  15. Not completely a football podcast but one I stumbled across and enjoyed while looking on the BBC football site was Gabby Logans' desert island discs. Spoke very affectionately about her time in Newcastle working at Metro radio and how she was almost in tears as she left for London for a new job with the Tyne bridge and SJP behind her. Chose the local hero song at that point and said anyone who knows Newcastle will tell you NUFC means everything to that city. Spoke about escaping the 1985 Bradford fire. Her dad Terry Yorath was working for Bradford at the time. Also spoke about losing her brother when he was only 15.
  16. Anyway, as for the game I've definitely got a nervous excitement today. Howay the lads.
  17. That quick? They must have been gone by 11.15. After the initial ST period it became a lottery as we've discussed elsewhere. If you don't hold a ST it's one thing asking someone with sufficient points to help you for an away game when they have a decent period of time to claim it, but another thing to ask someone to take time out of their lives to be online at 10am on a certain day to sit in an online queue where demand hugely outstrips supply. The majority will have secured their own seat initially.
  18. Not long back from Benidorm and seen an American/Canadian sounding comedian called Pablo Bloom. Some of you may have seen him. He tried to involve many areas of the UK in his show and we arrived mid show one night when he was asking some mackem where they were from and in the reply it somehow came up that it was on the river Wear (We-a). Pablo must have annoyed them greatly by telling them he'd heard of the Wear but always thought is was Tyne and Wear but the pronunciation was wear (as in to wear clothes). He followed that by singing fog on the Tyne followed by Blaydon Races while they no doubt sat there fuming.
  19. Where did you see this LFEE? Can only see away leg tickets mentioned on the official site. Away on holiday this week so worried I miss it.
  20. He didn't see much of the ball in his brief appearance with St Mirren pressing strongly for a leveler up the other end but showed good vision to set up that sitter his team mate thankfully missed. Unlucky not to have an assist.
  21. It's not live Gh but I've read that the whole game is repeated on BBC Alba at 10pm (UK time). Think it's quite easily accessible through the BBC around the UK.
