  1. So.. he's not replied then?
  2. Is he premiership-class yet?
  3. Isn't Crumpy normally in the loop with things like this? At a total guess, he knows the lads' father due to earlier posts.

In what way? I think he could've made a decent enough go of it if he had been given full support from the board.

Definitely, they were terrible. I'd say injuries & suspensions played a big part in that, but that's not really an acceptable excuse in football. What I find impressive though is that bar the odd exception (which will always happen, I remember people demanding that Keegan quit about 6 games in because we hadn't won yet) the vast majority of fans still had faith that he'd turn it around. Inevitably, Pardew will go on a bad losing run like that. I'm curious to know how much time he'll be given.. by both the fans and the management.

Too bad that Blackpool lost 2-3 then, spoke too soon mate The point is not where they are in the table, even now there is so much movement in the table positions. Wait a few more matches, these same teams could be in the bottom half fighting off relegation. 2 questions are relevant though 1) If our objective is to survive our first season back, should we be beating (or at least drawing) the likes of Stoke, Blackpool and Blackburn at home - the answer is yes 2) Has our form improved against these sort of teams (outside top 4-6) since Pardew took over - answer is yes too Under Hughton we had some great wins against the likes of Arsenal, and yes 3 points are 3 points against anyone, but if our objective is to secure safety and survive our first season back, then it's far more important not to be losing/dropping points against teams that are likely to be also fighting for the same position as us. We owe Hughton for bringing us back to the Premiership so convincingly, but the losses against the teams mentioned above will always remain a blemish on his record and no amount of twisting or turning from you or any of his fan club members is gonna change that. I'm out of here The bottom 3 in the premiership are Wolves, Wigan and West Ham.. we didn't lose to any of them. We may have dropped some points over the season, but we didn't look like we were going to be in as much trouble as some other teams down there currently are. Ultimately we'll never know what would have happened if Hughton hadn't been sacked.. and fair play to Pardew for getting some of the results that he has. Fact remains that the 3 teams we didn't want to lose lose against failed to beat us however. Maybe finishing off teams like Stoke when we had the chance we've kept Hughton in a job. But I doubt it.
  7. Souness raising his foot up at the end makes it for me.
  8. 1258 of ours are from the Stevenage game.
  9. Too right, Holloway. The prick can see out his contract like he should have to.
  10. No Tiote in the team two weeks in a row and there's two late goals for the opposition. It's obviously just opinion, but I doubt very much that we would have dropped 2 points today or last week if Tiote was on the pitch.
  11. This is the kind of image that is begging for a 4 frame zoom in.

It's this bias that represents the laughable SSN minority of toon fans. What bias is that?
  14. I'd say that some of the deflections is more the defenders giving the their team too much space rather than luck... I do agree that some were flukey as fuck though.

first 7 premiership games in charge: Wins - 3 Draws - 2 Losses - 2 Possible points - 21 Actual points - 11 Not too bad when you look at the cut and dry results. We've lost to Man City & Spurs and beaten Wigan, Liverpool and West Ham. We've also drawn against Spurs and Sunderland. Overall... not a bad start. Fairly steady. Regardless however, I still can't bring myself to like him very much. It doesn't look like we'll be going down unless we totally start to fuck-up over the next 6 games or so. Also, we seem to have been getting a ridiculous amount of injuries since he's popped up. You could say it's the fixture list, but we played more games last reasons more regularly and it wasn't this bad. Bit strange.
  16. Come on Pardew!!!! :frantic: Bradley yes, Dempsey no.

And he beats up sweet, innocent children outside bars. Arsehole.
  18. Their team contains a decent turn of pace. For this reason I fully expect Smith to give up several dangerous freekicks/a penalty and get a yellow as a minimum. If this clown scores in todays game I'll happily make a bust of this 'NUFC legend' with my own shit.

After the Stevenage game he said that the reason we lost was because "4 or 5 players were on empty and the younger players weren't up for it". In that case he should have played these players that were on empty and there were fuck all youth players in our side. A few days later he said that Krul was a major reason why we lost because he kicks & distribution were very poor. Bit of a daft comment considering our centrebacks were doing that and only that. He also made idiotic substitutions; there was no need to bring on Tiote. He may be a very influential player for us but he's also a DM. He'll now miss the next 3 matches. That's off the top of my head. I'm fairly convinced that playing some of the youth players from the start who are on the fringes like Fergie & Ranger would have been more beneficial because it'd rest key players & give them a chance to show Pardew what they can do.. but we'll never know now.
