  1. Yet another game this season where we've scored a bunch of goals and they're all different players getting on the scoresheet. Really good that we're not just relying on the out and out strikers or one player having a purple match.

He was really poor under Souness but had a decent season with Roeder and then looked useful in Keegan's 4-3-1-2. After that his legs had gone but he was far from our worst ever in the PL era. That'd be Alan Smith hands down.
  3. Trippier booked for the slightest nudge when Lerma escaped earlier on and Longstaff booked for thinking it was our throw what a cunt this ref is. Doesn't matter though, despite his fussiness we're fucking pissing it. Great first half showing that.

Loves popping up on that Gallowgate West corner with a goal doesn't he! Great finish.

    Jacob Murphy

Buzzing for him, he's having a class game today.
  6. Longstaff booked for that but nae card for the two handed chest push earlier from Lerma? Sound
  7. Always a crap fixture this. Opposing fans too busy sat holding hands with each other and stroking their half and half scarves like it's a frigging rugby match.
  8. Gameweek 9 Liverpool 2-0 Everton Bournemouth 0-2 Wolves Brentford 2-1 Burnley Man City 3-0 Brighton Newcastle 1-0 Palace Forest 2-1 Luton Chelsea 1-3 Arsenal Sheff U 0-1 Man U Villa 3-1 West Ham Spurs 3-1 Fulham

Bally and Catts the first two mentioned without a hint of irony
  10. He's mad enough without the gear.
  11. The point where it got too far was the goalkeeper eating the pie on TV cos the Sun offered 7/1 that he'd do it. In that situation he either eats the pie and wins loads of people money or doesn't eat the pie and makes the newspaper/bookie a mint. He was aware of it so whichever he chooses he's technically "influencing the outcome" even if he sits and does nowt. Totally agree with your post btw.

Didn't they all cry cos they let him go on a free then wasted loads of cash on Ndong and other shite instead?
  13. Best: Loic Remy Worst: Luuk de Jong (Some might say Barreca, Doumbia, Ferreyra, Slimani or others who never/barely played - I went with LDJ as in about a dozen games I don't think I've seen a striker offer less goal threat and I include Riviere in that)

Gareth Southgate probably asks the waiter in the Indian restaurant how spicy the chicken korma is.
  15. I don't disagree with the principle here btw, but the referees in the Premier League are too shit and too biased towards the "big clubs" for it to be better without VAR. Like I said in my original post, occasional mistakes will always happen and you trot out the "these things even themselves out over the course of a season" line and move on. But you see giant, ridiculous mistakes every gameweek in the PL and that ruins things more than VAR does IMO. Depends on your viewpoint I guess.

Hold on, I thought it was only mags who apparently spat at Sir Bobby and mackems would never do such a thing to someone associated with their club?
  17. I said this in the Referee thread, anyone who says VAR is worse than not having it has a fucking short memory. We used to get done over on an almost weekly basis. Remember when we went about 5 premier league seasons without an opponent getting a red card?

damn, that's "horse punchers" off the clutching at straws list. Better double down on the "your owners cut people's heads off" stuff now marras, we've scraped the barrel and it's literally all we have in retort.
  19. Are you saying that he cheated science and faked a head injury so that he could bury the winner?
  20. Tbf I don't think Roy had a lot of choice looking at the bench. A keeper, three centre halves, and untried academy lads. Can't be going 5 at the back at home & Rak-Sakyi at least has senior loan experience.
  21. Not sure what Gordon has to do with it? Any lack of effort sticks out like a sore thumb in this team and that's twice now he's sauntered out to a shot from the edge of the area which has flown in.
  22. Is it though? I'm not doubting his ability as a footballer, which I think has shone through in fits and starts, but that's twice this season now he's half-heartedly closed down a shot from the edge of the area which we've then conceded a goal from. EDIT: Imagine if it was Shelvey in the same position. Everyone would rightly be going wild about it.
