Dissapointed yet not shocked at Pardews revelations regarding the 35M. Fair enough, the 35M will probably be all invested back in the club in some shape or form but where does the TV money/Season ticket money and sponsorship deals etc. go? We must also ask the question, if Carroll had stayed, would we be signing nobody this summer? I think we'll get in another striker, hopefully not Shane Long and hopefully another midfielder. If Enrique goes we'll probably get in another left back, if thats Wayne Bridge i'll be sorely dissapointed.

Still think it makes sense to keep Routledge. If anything, he's a bit of cover on the wings. I dont think he's got enough about him to be starting every game, but he could still do a job when drafted in to cover for injuries and suspensions. He'll not be on a particularly high wage, we wont get a massive fee for him and if anything, he'll add a bit of depth to the squad. Unless Pardew's been told he must get rid of a player before bringing a new one in (which may well be the case) I Cant see why we're so eager to get rid tbh.

However if it means ditching an attempt to get in Barnetta/Zog because we've signed a lad that's not played since November on a free, then it certainly looks like we've took a risk and done it on the cheap again.
