Everton vs. Newcastle United: 27/04/23 @ 19:45 (BT Sport)

I dont think Gordon will play. I think there's too much emotion there, especially given its his boyhood club. He'll be desperate to prove something and it could boil over. He doesnt epitomise playing the game not the occasion in the slightest. -

Think this will be tough. Theyll be up for it and with Onana, Doucoure and DCL returning/getting fitter I think it will be tough. Theyve only got Man City and Bournemouth on the final day at home. Hopefully as he brought of Isak, thatll mean he starts. Id rather give him a rest V Southampton at home. We need to stretch them I think. The Green kit scares me more than Everton themselves though. There can be some underplayed psychological aspects to an 'unlucky kit' I feel. Going to this, first away in over four years. Was counting last night and Ive been to 15 away games and seen a total of 2 wins (Bolton and WBA 5th place season). Pitiful record... -

Neither Porro nor Perisic have ever played as conventional full backs. It was tactical suicide like. -

Hope Danjuma doesnt play. Scored at the weekend. Can see him scoring against us based on nothing but a hunch. -
Then we're in with a shout for almost anyone thats been seriously linked. Dont think we'll be first choice, but we'll be in the conversation.
-
Think who we'll go for and who we'll be able to attract depends almost entirely on whether we make the CL. Think we're looking at two different sets of targets. Think we can forget about the likes of Maddison and Rice if were not in the CL.

Ah you've just reminded me of the brummie on there. Lord above that accent.

Theres a plethora of football podcasts out there but I really struggle to find many that I really like all that much. Admittedly, I want something with at least a bit of craic but which is fairly insightful too. I refuse to listen to anything with that cunt Glendinning on, and it seems most journalists cant translate good writing to good oration, because a lot of them sound boring as fuck. POTT is prime example; Caulkin, Waugh or that new fella might well be good writers, but none of them are made to podcast. The only reason I ever listen to that one is for bits of insider information provided by Caulkin or Waugh whilst gritting my teeth through their woeful patter. Podcasts lose a crucial element when they're done online too, they're all way better when they're done in a studio where hosts/participants/guests can bounce off eachother, its so much more natural and that goes for any podcast, not just football ones - I'd guess the most successful ones are done when everyone is in the same room. The last thing I want to hear is some dullard drone on through their laptop mic - obviously that doesn't go for smaller podcasts where it might not be logistically possible and they're amateurs doing it for fun but thats not necessarily what we're talking about here. I still listen to the Football Ramble. It went way downhill for a bit with a new format but now they have Marcus Speller presenting it the majority of the time and its mostly the four originals plus a few others in various combinations. Its not everyones cup of tea but I still enjoy it after all these years. Wouldnt say it offers real insight though. Gave The Athletic Football podcast a bash the other week but I got annoyed at some prick they had on giving the betfair or whatever odds throughout, if I wanted to know what the bookmakers were offering Id listen to the fucking Racing Post podcast.

Surely not. Way too big of a job given his experience. -
Can't see Rice coming here, nor can I see us spending that amount on one player. Think City, Arsenal and Man Utd will have first dibs too. We're one or two seasons away from that calibre of signing I'd say.

Think both teams would take a draw. Beat them and dare I say it, I think we'll finish in the top 4. 3 away wins on the bounce would be unreal. -

CL Final being a Wembley isnt great. Dont fancy that. I'll take us qualifying for the CL, 3rd in the group and us in the EL final at Dublin followed by the CL final the season after next at more exotic location, cheers. -

Shouldn't be going on like that. He gave away two free kicks which almost lead to an equaliser too. Might well have acted himself out of a start v Villa

I've nowt to back it up with but I reckon thats a bit of a myth. Thinking about our two relegations we slid hopelessly towards relegation and couldnt buy a win. There'll be some teams pull it out the bag, but all in all they're down there because theyre worse than the rest of the league. -

Finishing the season with Leicester and Chelsea would have been tough I'd have thought in August, but Leicester in free fall and Chelsea having a nightmare season doesnt half suit us. Four of the current bottom 5 left to play, and Spurs, Brighton and Arsenal at SJP. Id fancy us if I didnt know better. -

Would take a draw now. They've really kicked on under Emery and they're flying, won their last 4 i think it is too. They look really good and they'll be really well organized. A draw would be a good result imo. -
Think he was more frustrated at himself for giving away two free kicks that almost lead to goals.
-
Three minutes added time when weve had two a goal overuled by VAR, a penalty given by VAR and another penalty. Shite.
-
How long does fucking VAR take. Absolute wank spectacle
