18 year old Guinean striker scored winning goal on his debut for Atalanta. Up until a few weeks ago he was living in a refugee camp in Puglia and playing for an 8th tier side made up of asylum seekers.

Incredulous that we lost to 10 men Everton like.
-
What's supposed to be bad about that? If anything he's being self deprecating by not mentioning that he plays for a PL club while talking to some crypto freak.
-
Zaha, Eze, Olise is a very exciting three behind the striker. I like what Palace try to do in the transfer market.

If you think there's a 40% chance of us going down then id strongly recommend putting money where your mouth is as you can still get 40/1 on us going down - which is very generous for a 40% chance.

I think 35 will be enough. Be amazed if we don't get another 4 points.

Didn't look fit. Wasn't able to get away from players with the same ease he has recently. Can't believe he got a foul against him for that high foot. Despise that rule when the foot is nowhere near anybody.

Matt Targett set to miss remainder of season with hamstring injury (Howe)

Totally agree regarding corners. His set pieces have been really good in absence of Trippier. Having full backs who can take set pieces is a massive help as it allows you to keep your more natural goal threats in offensive positions. -
We started the recent good run after the break in Saudi. I don't really count Leeds as part of the run because that was a smash and grab. Can only hope this helps us go again.

Tottenham Hotspur vs. Newcastle United - 3/4/22 @ 16:30 (Sky Sports)

I'm going down for this and looking forward to it - just hate that there's such a massive gap between games as much as it'll be to our benefit. -
You get tackles like that where it's blatantly cynical but they're at least close to the ball to make an argument it wasn't deliberate Allan had no intention of doing so, was targeting only the man, and was off the ground when he made contact. I would have had absolutely no issue with it being a red card in real time tbh - but it was massively borderline and thus can't believe they reversed the original decision once the ref had said yellow.
-
I thoutht it could have been a red in real time tbh but I'm absolutely amazed it was upgraded. It was the definition of an orange card so it should have gone with the ref who watched it at full speed right in front of his eyes.

The most frustrating thing for me is not even his hold up play but his lack of conviction aerially. He's has loads of chances and half chances that he's either missed altogether, parried straight into the keepers arms or 50p-ed straight up in the air. The minimum I expected was that he'd be a rubbish footballer but give us something different in the air - especially the manner in which our set pieces have improved so much.
-
Would have been far, far less frustrated if we'd scraped a point out of the last couple of games. Keep us ticking over through the break. Instead it's two and a half weeks of introspection.
-
Atrocious there.

We've had a couple of wins and now half our support would rather have Jacob Murphy in the side and want him peddled. It honestly boggles the mind how few see the bigger picture beyond the short termism of good runs of form from team/individuals. -
Would be brill to have him back for the run in.
-
I presume they'll be asking for all the home games to be behind closed doors too since away fans can't get tickets?
-
Think they're all fine like
-
Rather than mic'ing up the VAR room and dragging out the officiating process any more I'd far rather they just get rid of it. I can accept referees making human errors in a split second like they have done forever, but if you're going to go down the rabbit hole of VAR it really has to be robotically perfect. And it clearly never will be.

Everton vs Newcastle: 17/03/2022 @ 19:45 (Amazon Prime)

Shows how much attention I paid during Bruce and behind-closed-doors-ball because I can recall absolutely nothing about last season's victory. Nothing. The entire period of covid football should come with a massive asterisk, it really wasn't the same sport. -

Raphinha is a brilliant player but if you ask Leeds fans they'd tell you exactly the same thing about him. He's been poor and sulking for months until today. -
Barnes was definitely the target man for Burnley. Wood was basically a poacher with an aerial threat.
-
I think it's fair to separate that he is a relatively poor PL player with the fact that, considering the very specific circumstances, he's still been a good signing.
