Off the top of my head that's basically the 50 or so minutes Vs Wolves and 20 minutes or so Vs Man City. Otherwise a few minutes against Bournemouth and seconds when we lost to Liverpool. There's definitely a feeling about the way we play that we work very hard not to concede the first goal in the game. And once we get the breakthrough ourselves we tend to pull away.

It's surely a system thing too. Brazil play a clearly defined 4-2-3-1 with two deeper midfielders and a #10. Joelinton has been playing as a box to box in a 4-3-3 which is very different. I'm not sure how he'd do as a defined and disciplined holding midfielder and he's clearly not good enough to be the #10. Obviously he adds flexibility to a squad by being able to play wide too but Brazil have loads of options there so it's not needed. I think a combination of their current system and the fact he's never had a call up before made it a certainty he wouldn't make it.

Diaby has picked up form in recent weeks since they appointed Alonso. Could go back in for him. I still think another winger who could play both sides is marginally preferable to another midfielder but I see the arguments either way. Personally would be happy with 1 major signing in January to give us a boost. Other than that I would look at a young RB because I'm worried Trippier will fall apart physically in second half of the season.

Paqueta obviously has a lot of quality but I can't see him ever dominating games in the PL the way Bruno has. He doesn't look hugely different to the player I watched at Milan.

Bazunu doesn't seem like he knows how to make a save like.

Currently on course for around 73 points That rate would have been enough for Leicester in 2015/2016 to still have won the league by a couple of points.

Cracking goal from Daniel Maldini against Milan

Huge win for Napoli there despite not playing well. They've now played Milan, Atalanta, Roma and Lazio away and won them all. Second half of the season will be downhill by comparison.

Honestly I'm not entirely convinced by Maxi off the bench as an impact player. For all he has great pace and dribbling ability he's a player who often seems to need to work his way into a groove in a game. I'd be tempted to start him and have Murphy being the one to come on against tired legs after an hour.- 271 replies

£20 is quite expensive for a friendly but kind of justifiable in the build up to the season starting when you're starved of footy and people want to see the new signings. It's a curtain raiser of sorts for what's to come. This is essentially a training game to tide us over during a mid-season break. Daft price considering IMO.

Disgraceful decision.

I moderate my language depending on who I'm with and where I am as anybody would. I tend not to use the C word much at all. However I think going to a football match and being upset or offended by bad language is absolutely pathetic like, sorry. They're just words ffs. Tbf I grew up in a household where hearing my parents swear was completely normal - so hearing it at football was a complete non-event to me.
-
I can't understand why you would go to football and get upset at swear words. It isn't the theatre.

Honestly don't think there's any chance of them going down tbh. They've been playing without a recognised striker for a couple of months now. With their two forwards back they'll be comfortable.

The one Saints player I was super impressed with when we played them last time was Walker-Peters. Would be a really solid signing full back option for us to play on both sides tbh. -
You could see from the trailer alone it was a load of rubbish, like Football biopics are always a bit pointless to me. You want to see them play - just do a documentary.
-
I think one big signing in January would be fine. Either a winger who can play either side or a quality midfielder of some kind (who potentially even could also play wide). That could happen without upsetting the apple cart at all really.
-
He had a ropey first half but was very good second half.
-
No matter how well he plays and how good PSG are the goals are going to be shared around that front 3. He's obviously playing more of a playmaking role these days with 24 assists in 38 league games.

Speaking of this I noticed on my scores app that he scored a hat trick for their academy this week against Boro. They won 8-1. Front 6 was Sekou Mara (who got 4), Walcott, Djenepo, Lavia, Maintland-Niles and Edozie. Pretty sure they're all first teamers/new signings. I get that it's to allow players to get back to fitness but that seems ridiculously harsh on Boro like -
