  1. Gullit doesn't really come close. Although I did smash my ruud gullit head mug to pieces afterward. I chose MA as his ineptitude and conduct has brought this club grovelling to its knees. Although FFS is a near equal in terms of the money he squandered and threw at shit managers (Souness really, just to bring him to the fold) and his notable contribution the club's current decline.
  2. It's only the same as being a teacher, shop assistant, doctor/nurse or a copper (who get paid considerbaly less at a guess) and getting told to 'fuck off' etc. They'd most likely get a disciplinary or the sack. He's a professional footballer who should understand the role he plays and the cons of the job. Fans should in fairness, calm it with coin throwing, personal jibes etc. but to portray someone in Barton's position as completely vindicated for his actions is daft.
  3. Initially read in my mind as 'sexually abuse them at 4...' However, I think that we probs won't and I'll go for a still positive 2-0 instead. Loven and Harewood. Hope he turns it around
  4. A la johnny B. Goode Weeeeell... he was signed from AstonVilla on a free, Hoped he bang 'em in like Wayne Rooney, Turns out really that he's not that good, and he goes by the name of Marlon Harewood He never really learned to trap a ball or pass that well, But can score free headers just like he's ringing a bell Go,Go. Go Marlon, Go,Go. Go Marlon, Go,Go Go Marlon ,Go, Go. ...Marlon Harewood....

    No. 1 striker

I think Caroll has contributed the most considering Sholas been injured and the fact he scored possibly the shittest hat trick in history kind of puts the seed of doubt in my mind about him. I'd like to see Ranger get some starts so I can suss his actual contribution and ability. Lovenkrands seemed to have a good game saturday and looked pacy and had guile so I think he is probably near the top in terms of finishing. Despite Harewood's enthusiasm and contribution against Swansea I still believe he can't cut it. Personally I'd like to see what Carroll/Ranger and Lovenkrands would be able to do as I feel it brings more guile, pace and finishing possibilities to the fold. Not ideal by any stretch but I think thats been touched on quite a bit
  6. Can see him doin ok for a long while and then just after half time doing something appallingly shocking that mkaes us concede. Fucking hate that argument. Not comparing the lad to Rooney here intentionally, but Everton harped on about doing the same with him and then he just cleared off by the time it was any use.
  7. well Harewood then. Just didn't feel the need to single him out because as much as I like Andy Caroll, i can see more positive potential in Ranger and Marlon is very mediocre. I don't know whether its because we keep winning in the manner we do that he fields the same plodders in certain positions or Hughton knows something we don't
  8. This is really starting to piss me off. It's plain as the nose on Andy O'Briens face that hes better than those ahead of him. He's only refered to as an effective 'impact sub' because those in front of him are shocking....and im at work
  9. Particularly when they play the likes of us, leeds, west ham etc. Especially us though of course. Leeds and West Ham can swivel....and I don't think i need to say what has already been said a billion times over about glory hunting
  10. There you go. He's looked far more effective than Harewood and Lovenkrands hasn't been used up front really. Whenever he's played he's been very impressive. Has Lovenkrands actually had the same amount of time up front Ranger has? I'd be willing to give him a chance as he has amazingly actually scored a goal for us. Lovenkrands has played up front once, alongside Harewood. He didn't have a particularly special game but set up Harewood for a one on one opputunity apparently. He was playing alongside Harewood and they are too much of a similar player to play together (Carroll & Ranger and Carroll & Ameobi are exceptions because it works). He's played twice on the left wing where he fails because of the tracking back and once on the right wing (Peterborough in the cup). I'd like to see him given a chance alongside Carroll, Ameobi or Ranger too, but quite frankly it will never happen under Hughton Both rubbish? Tbh he's not in the same league as Harewood. He actually has the semblance of footballing ability. I do like him but he seems too much of a spare part to really figure at all

  12. yes, yes, yes! hate it. Don't mind this one so much, as it sounds mint when everyone singing it at an away match "Shall we sing a song for you" on the other hand Most moronic chant ever. No need
  13. Who cares? The only football fans these people influence are generally idiots. The press have always done this to the club and Bird is only helping to shift papers by stating the chuffing obvious
  14. Find it hard to disagree. I mean he has DEFINITE limitations. But to be as brazen to say he's devoid of talent/skill and offers nothing is a bit strange to me
  15. The Delap factor - playing for throw ins. Boring boring boring
  16. There is almost a protestant/catholic level of polarisation on this. I've never known a player to that as much as jonas.
  17. There's a common theme with Bruce's team, wherever he goes he seems to start off extremely well, but after a while he goes stale and he's teams tend to. That happened at Brum and it was happening at Wigan. I think that's partly why he's moved around so much. Not saying that Sunderland wouldn't roll us pretty badly, the signing of Bent I think is a masterstroke. They are a good prem team now and all credit to Bruce for transforming them form the crap they were last year. But I would worry about longevity of it all, if I were a Mackem (perish the thought). Stability. An owner who won't just sign loan players. A top class goalscorer. Management thats in full control. I'd say they were a fair way if i was being realistic. Sunderland are lightyears ahead of us atm. Could very well last longer than we'd all like. Better football today (relatively). More of the same and the threat of the Nolanator is looking positive They are not light years ahead of us man . If they were like Arsenal or Chelsea aye.
  18. I know what your're saying but i'm fed up of this scapegoat stuff when it comes to Harewood. He's been about as successful heres as a hog roast in Tel Aviv

  20. Aye. He does have the shooting accuracy of a drunken piss but the ground he made and attacking play he providing was really positive
  21. Solid performance at the back all round. Had another look at Marlon's 'class lay off'. I retract my original statement. However, the Nolanator is an absolute machine
