I like football and rugby union and league. Am I the only one? American sports are fucking shite. Having played rugby union for years it is true that rugby players, at my amateur level do have an inferiority complex. Seems its wrong to like both even though they're completely different. You can't knock the way it respects officials and players athleticism and skill. It's class seeing a team defend 5 metres away from a tryline like men possessed as much as it is watching Shola tear the championship a new one every week

Do you honestly think Ranger is ready to start games? He won't ever be ready with 15 mins at the end of games and only getting full games for the stiffs. He needs consistency if he is to develop Not at our expense he doesn't. We should loan him out next season. sends out the wrong message if we're willing to persist with other loan signings and ship the lad out when he's on the cusp of breaking the first team. I am just of the opinion that intend to see players develop in terms of confidence and effectiveness and you think they have great potential in the first place you persist with them. All depends whether people and Hughton think that as well i suppose

I don't mind him being here til the end of the season...but it seemed when he first arrived that he wasnt being started because of form but merely because he was a big 'championship name' and forced players likie loven/carroll/rnager out because of this. When he first arrived it was indeed like having 10 men on the pitch. A very mediocre player. I'm glad hes provided a few goals and contributed a lot more now and think he may provide some important goals in the promotion effort however.

I remember when Charlton i think it was travelled all the way up here on a Monday night a few years back only for it to be called off because of the snow. That must have been a pisser for them! think it was southampton. i was sat in the pub with a couple of saints fans and they wouldn't believe the match was off. im sure it was Charlton, i have known to be wrong before though..... It was Charlton because I remember doing the 400 mile round trip the midlands (never mind east london) t6o see the game...sat up in level 7 made up to be at the game when the wankers come up with some s**** about it being dangerous for travel. I'd set off early that day from near Tamworth so i'm guessing Charlton's faithful would've set off on their 'dangerous' travel before me....

Not very patriotic but I couldn't care less about England whilst the toon are where we are. Not particularly bothered anyway and if he goes, adding to the ManU/liverpool love in that often is the England squad it'll only add to my apathy. Howeve Capello seems to make good decisions that buck this trend, bringing in young talent from the likes of Aston Villa and have a better chance of winning than with the 'Golden generatrion' Still out in semis to the Germans/Argies tho

Could be the next Aaron Ramsey I would take that. Ramsey is and has been amazing this season, he will undoubtedly replace Fabregas in a year or two! I read old man Cesc is already worried about his place in a few seasons time. Sounds impressive. I just would like to see ANY attacking minded players in centre mid ffs

Not an unfair result by all accounts against Barnsley but I believe we're gradually winning in spite of squad selection than because of it. Guthrie may be doubtful to a lot of people bt he must offer moe than Butt surely. Although they are paying off somehow, I just don't have faith in the long term benefits of CH's tactics. Not seen much of this Wilshire lad, is he the nads like?

How on earth does 'Fabriiiiiiice Pancrate' rhyme with 'Love'? I think the problem lies with the excess of syllables with 'Fabriiiice Pancrate' rather than it rhyming with the original tune. Like was said a lot tunes used in chants have FA to do with the original lyrics e.g. shit on the villa, one nil to 'x' team etc. How do any of the songs sung to the tune of it rhyme with "Go west, life is peaceful there"? ? Well loads of football songs are based on it (ie Go West), none of which rhyme with the original lyrics is what I mean.

The likes of our midfielders would get roundly raped in the prem as it did last year. I am absolutely astounded at the gulf between the two leagues and are scraping wins at the top in spite of our midfield rather than it being because of it. Houghton's starting midfield is nowhere near surefire prem survival quality.

Looks good from what we've seen but so did jonas at the same stage. I like them both but we need time to see his overall game before making him a cult hero
