  1. That’s a fair point. It’ll be interesting to see who we go for in various positions to be honest. I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s a mix of some premier league ready players and a few from abroad.
  2. It’s a strange feeling to look at solidity at left back isn’t it ?
  3. I don’t doubt that with Howe, Trippier and the general vibe at the club at the moment we’d get him firing. I’m not sure I can see us shelling out for him though and I can see us going to the continent for targets. They may ofcourse go back in for Lingard again who is tried and tested as a winger and available on a free to play on that right side.
  4. I think it’ll take him some time to adjust fully but I see no reason why he can’t be a success off the limited time we’ve seen him and all the reports prior to him joining.
  5. Based on what? He hasn’t even started a game yet ?
  6. That’s very well summed up. To put it in context I was sat in the Milburn papping it whereas when I spoke to my West Ham mate who watch it all live before his match he said as a neutral he just never thought Brighton looked like scoring.
  7. I think he did alright to be fair but he gets caught out of position and you feel there’s still a mistake/rash challenge in him. Manquilo is just that much better all round really. I’d certainly rather see him at Chelsea.
  8. Fair enough, I can’t actually remember how good Henderson is. Agree someone else needs to come in though.
  9. I would imagine Tripper was looking at probably 8 weeks (I heard 6 somewhere but that seems very unrealistic if you ask me putting my Physio head on) if all goes well which would be mid April so maybe Wolves or Leicester? Wilson seems a bit more uncertain but there were some positive quotes from him about his recent progress in the last few weeks. If he could get back fit for the final games it would be a huge bonus. With recent results I’m confident we can win particularly as Brighton are in a little bit of a lull. 3 points going into those away fixtures would be ace. St James will be a bear pit of noise.
  10. They’re good away from home too, excellent counter attacking team. We are a tough no nonsense side though and St James is a difficult place to visit now.
  11. I think Norwich will beat Brentford next weekend
  12. Me too, going with sisters Father in law. They’re form is dipping, let’s have a proper go at them.
  13. 2. We are confident, solid at the back and in midfield and the midfielders are now scoring goals. I actually think our attacking play will improve from here on in too and this is without considering Trippier or Wilson returning. Another 3 wins and 3 draws gets us to 37.
  14. Spot on. The great thing is our form and Howe have put to bed all the rubbish from “pundits” going on about Bruce and desperately hoping to be proved right so they can stick the knife in. They were wrong, they’ve been proved wrong and now have to shut the fvck up, Mersin in particular. What is it with that bloke anyway?
  15. Be great to see Wood properly mark his arrival on sat.
  16. It was but that result felt nailed on, classic Spurs after winning at City. The fact Leeds and Watford lost was big.
  17. You need the spirit for a scrap, resolute in defence and be very difficult to beat at home and showing form. Us and Burnley look like we have those qualities. There’s a few above us who you couldn’t argue the same.
  18. No but here’s hoping by the time we face that run we have Trippier and Wilson in the side
  19. Or if you want to put a massive positive slant on things we may still get Trippier and Wilson (less likely) back for a run of a few games and we still have the option of a 40m Brazilian midfielder.
  20. That’s well summed up, I don’t see many other teams down there with the spirit, resolute defence and crowd support/ground hostility for home games.
  21. Looking at the fixtures, the table could be really interesting come Saturday. We could potentially end up two points behind Villa if we won and and they were to lose. Mad when you consider weeks ago they were considered totally safe. If Norwich and Watford both lose away its looking very unlikely they’ll get out of it meaning a straight up shoot up out to avoid the last place.
  22. Hope he’s back for the final games if anything just to help calm everyone down if it’s still very close at the bottom.
  23. They are all over the place at the back and he’s doesn’t seem to be able to change it. Watford proved again tonight how shit they can be. Burnley like us show real fight and togetherness and there’s a few sides just above us who you can’t say the same.
  24. Yeah and Brentford, Everton and Leeds will be starting to shit it
