The double sub was a great move to keep things fresh and break when they were stretched

Doesn’t matter what’s going on, he always makes the right decision. The way he shields the ball is incredible. It’s an absolute fucking joke that we signed him when we were odds on for relegation
-
He’s so good at holding the ball up, transformed our play. Instead of lofting balls to Wood who’d head them down to no one, we kept the ball on the ground for most of the match. Was a sign of things to come in terms of the type of football we’ll play under Eddie and I loved it

Showed a level of quality we haven’t seen from him for a long time
-
Outstanding performance, every aspect of his game was on tonight

That was a joy from start to finish. Was saying to my mate, when was the last time we dominated Arsenal like that? Twenty years ago?
-
Fair play, don’t like Real Madrid but I’d be getting out of PSG at all costs if I was him
-
Wonder where Gundogan will go, big fan of his, does he go straight into most top four clubs in the big leagues?
-
Wood not on the bench, he carrying a knock?

I’m not discounting the fact that people are hypocrites, we all are. However, the vast majority of people hurling racial abuse are the ones who boo taking the knee and are “all lives matter” lads. You don’t seem to understand social psychology, the whole point of taking the knee and rainbow laces etc is that it becomes more and more stigmatised to be racist or homophobic. The more people that support those causes, the more ostracised racists become as it’s deemed socially unacceptable and ultimately they get called out for it, outed for being racists and get banned from games. It’s a huge societal process and takes ages to change. Would be interested to find out what you think would reduce racism and homophobic behaviour Kaka

Aye, definitely the same people

Shouldn’t have to take serious balls to come out publicly as a footballer but massive credit to the lad. Getting it out there early means he doesn’t have to have it niggling away in the back of his mind and he can live his life and enjoy his football more. Hope it paves the way for more players to be able to be open even though they shouldn’t have to declare it

“However a senior Whitehall source revealed there was now "serious concern" that the oligarch was "willing to let Chelsea go under" over an alleged "refusal to agree to a sale structure that gives ministers confidence that proceeds would go to a good cause".” Very interested to see how the Chelsea fans would feel about Abramovich if this came to pass

This would be extremely sensible

Ronaldinho was so special, was probably my favourite non-NUFC player when I was a kid apart from El Fenomeno. To see someone take the piss out of opposing players with such regularity. It’s only really Messi who has taken the piss out of people more but he’s done it in a more clinical way, whereas Ronaldinho’s way was so carefree

Should have gotten into cheerleading or synchronised swimming
-
Nah, there’s enough contagious diseases going round at the moment without him chomping away at people

Not wishing to start a politics thread in the football area of the forum but I think looking at the voting records of Tory politicians against Labour politicians would reveal some significant differences

This sounds like a good recipe if we want to bring back capital punishment

He’s 32…

Shame for Leeds, 16 years out of the top flight and they only get two seasons before likely dropping down again

Final chapter? You’re not stepping away at the end of the season are you? Thanks again for everything you and Wor Flags have done, it’s had a big impact on helping me to become properly invested in the club again post-takeover
