  1. Considering his size and the position he plays, Wood has to be one of the poorest goalscoring headerers of the ball we’ve had
  2. To be honest, the longer they keep him, the better for us. He’s clearly awful and Everton will be consigned to either fighting against relegation each season or binning him off soon
  3. If we’d beaten Everton I reckon they’d be down. Sadly, it looks like they’re staying up
  4. When he came to us he was barely a football player anymore. There’s no way he should have been playing in either the premier league or championship at that stage. Was somehow significantly even more limited than Colback
  5. Haha, that’s genuinely hilarious. What a sad bunch of twats. Hope they never win it
  6. Very interesting stat that. Often find general stats like that to be a bit pointless but that suggests a major mentality issue like you say
  7. Let’s at least wait and see. If he doesn’t improve with better players, hoy him in the skip and thank him for the laughs
  8. It says - the other 14, so I’m guessing it’s just looking at players from outside the top 6
  9. Can’t believe someone didn’t just bray the shit out of the midget
  10. They have an outstanding goalkeeper and manager. Apart from that, they’ve got quality dotted round the pitch but their squad needs a huge overhaul. This is their last year for a while getting to the latter stages of the CL I think. I don’t think they’ll get battered at all in the final, think it’ll be really tight but the pace of Liverpool’s forwards and their pressing will probably be enough
  11. Ambitious to be looking at seven new first 11 players. In terms of cash spent to bring those in you’d probably be looking at £175m+. I think we all agree a new striker and winger are absolutely key along with a new centre back. I think there’s a decent chance we’ll bring in two strikers over the summer. One, a development project like Ekitike and one with pedigree ready to go
  12. One thing you don’t want to do in a team sport is slag your teammates off like. I reckon he’s just feeling a bit insecure as he’s not had a good run of form for a few months now and he just wants to find something external to blame

    Jesse Lingard

Apologies, I meant to post that in the Saint-maxi thread
  14. Fair play to Courtois like, that save off Grealish was brilliant
  15. Aye, it’s a bit desperate but there is some truth to it. Next season is absolutely massive for him and us, can he develop his game more, especially with better players around him. It’ll be an easy decision for us after next season whether he stays or goes. Hopefully he can push on and stay

    Jesse Lingard

Yeah, I think he’d serve a purpose here for a couple of years. It would make good sense for him and for us and it allows us to save the cash for some prospects who have the potential to be a major upgrade on Lingard
  17. I’d not be particularly interested in Richarlison. One of the biggest shithouses in the game and I feel like he’s gone backwards as a player, perhaps that’s down to Everton being a sack of dog shit but I don’t fancy him unless it’s cheap and to tide us over in the squad as we transition from a relegation-threatened side to a consistent top 6 side over the next two-three years
  18. In the wrong line of work, get him to stand in that paedo’s Tory seat that just had to resign
  19. I wonder how much we could recoup for Wood if we tried to sell him in the summer window, £13m?
  20. Not for me, I think he’s great but he’s not the type of forward I want, I’d prefer younger, faster with better technique even if a lot less proven for that money
  21. He’s got way more to his game than Gayle. When he played for us in the premier league he fluffed a ton of chances. If he can become more clinical in the premier league then he’ll get a lot of goals as he always had lots of opportunities. I love how he bullies defences
  22. I think it’ll be very interesting to see if we’re back in for Lingard. If we aren’t, it shows major ambition. If we are, it’s a sensible move for the squad in the short-term. I think it’ll give us a good indicator early on in the window about whether we’re going big or not
  23. Think there’s a bit of truth to this. Mentally, he could benefit from working on how he responds to getting tackled. It’s shit that refs don’t give him a bit more but clearly it’s not going to change so he has to work on just focusing on his own game and getting fired up rather than deflated by the tackles. I reckon we’ll see him put in a performance before the end of the season where he rinses a defence
  24. Interesting, haven’t followed him since retirement but he was clearly very intelligent and extremely likeable. Could see him being a good manager
