That's Chelsea and Man City beating us to two top South American talents for the future. Shows we are setting the bar high and scouting well which is great, I think maybe Nickson and co had hoped the market would be a little bit more under the radar as far as the PL is concerned though.

Magnificent, his reading of the game during a few nervy moments in the first half was absolutely first class.

Another win for WBA today

Don't think we have seen anywhere near enough of Isak yet to make that call.
-
We already have better than both of them in our first choice pairing. Would much rather sign a younger defender of a similar profile to Botman who can eventually take over from Schar. Quite happy to leave the top four cast offs for the Evertons and the Aston Vilas.

Manquillo and Lascelles should be able to get PL moves imo.

The clickbait stuff disproportionately pisses me off as well. I know it's the nature of the beast, but some authenticity would go a long way. "10 players PIF will try and sign for Newcastle United!!!!" Fuck off man, nobody knows who we're going to sign and that's the beauty of it.

Same. Haven't seen much to suggest he's going to become an elite level DM, he's a good player for teams challenging for the top eight or so. We can do better.
-
Think he does come across like an arsehole tbh (his comments disparaging the club he plays for on two separate occasions, anyway) but agree with the sentiment. Would be surprised if the ban was any longer than a few months although I guess it will depend a lot on the specifics, which makes it difficult to assess too much in terms of precedent just now.

Ivan Toney the most complete striker in the world Completely ignoring the fact that Paqueta is "struggling" under Moyes for the exact same reason Almiron and many others looked ineffective with us for so long.

I don't think it's such a straightforward question in practice, even putting to the side the fact that separation between the two was scrutinised at length as part of the takeover process. Both the distance between PIF and the Saudi state (lesser) and the distance between NUFC and the Saudi state (greater) are significantly underestimated by those looking to protest imo, it's a kind of category error. Like Ronaldo said, the appropriate channels are political ones.

Class today, think he does a great job of locking down that left hand side when playing out wide while still contributing to the attacking build-up and moving the team up the pitch in possession.
-
Fantastic again today. His intelligence on the ball and physicality have both gone up a level in recent weeks it's really allowing him to impact games in a much more consistent way. Deserved starter right now and feel there is much more to come, too.
-
I don't think we've seen enough of him to really know exactly where he's at in his development, tbh. Certainly not going to rush to judgement off the back of a cup game where pretty much the whole team was underwhelming going forward.
