If Pardew can't get the best out of Cabaye, there is no way he will set the team up in a manner which will even come close to us seeing the best of Anita, who has an even more limited/specific role than Cabaye if anything. I'm also not sure how anyone can rate Anita highly based on what we saw last season. Very much an unknown quantity at this point.

I'm not sure how successful he would be there.The obvious candidate for that role is Marveaux, with Sissoko and Cabaye behind him imo.

Daily Mail reckons PEA is willing to go to Swansea instead of Spurs as his dad idolised Laudrup. Think we can forget about him. Not convinced with Bony - really think a more versatile wide forward/striker à la PEA/Remy would be most suitable. In fact, I think it's probably the only addition we need as the squad stands right now.

I have to be honest with myself and say that I can't do that. Any players coming in will mean little to me until the Pardew cloud has gone. We already have very good players imo. New very good players won't improve Pardew. Pretty much how I'm feeling. Totally apathetic about summer transfers and resigned to, at best, a mediocre and ugly showing next year.

Really difficult to judge how good Anita is since he is clearly a player with very specific qualities and a role which he can't carry out in a team set up the way ours is. Don't think he would be in my first XI, at home at least.

Not his biggest fan, but looked very good today and certainly didn't deserve to be taken off.
