  1. Fully deserved. Fuck, man. Captain of Newcastle United at 22 years of age. That is what dreams are made of
  2. Pretty happy with this signing. Can't say I saw a lot of him at Hull. But at West Ham and Wigan, he always looked a bit of a beast and great going forward.

This thread has turned into RTG. Ferk off. Cernt.
  4. It ain’t about how hard you hit, it’s about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward.
  5. I was going to say. I take Mole's point on board and hear what he is saying on both of his posts. But I don't remember Ba scoring many meaningless, 'garbage time' goals? Strange choice of player, to try and reinforce your argument.

Be careful you might get slated on here for posting 'obsessive' links Aye he'll be getting a clip around the lug off Dave. Dave can f*** off, they're c***s and I'll let them know they're c***s
  7. Clearly a parody account. Pardew blatantly just wanks over pictures of himself.
  8. First transfer under Rafa that has really got me really don't rate him. I would like to hope he would just be a backup and at present, he would be 4th choice. I'm not sure why he would leave Villa, where he plays fairly regularly (I think). To come here and warm the bench? I think I'm just paranoid, as it has been the case so often under Ashley when we have a few players for a certain position. But I really hope this doesn't mean Mbemba is off. I still think Lascelles and Chancel, should be the first choice CB pairing.
  9. Exactly. I doubt he's suddenly going to start seeing the game differently and massively improve his touch, just because he will be training with better players. I don't see how he would be effective playing or a team that will have 60-70% possession in most games. Would be useful for big European games and against Barca, though. As they often play on the counter in those situations and it suits them pretty well. I still can't see him going there, mind

Haven't we previously monitored him? Sounds like a load of bollocks to me? Either that, or the wrong thread
  11. Not sure what was worse. The sending off or Colback at 3:50
  12. Just sit back and watch a 0-0 with Estonia. Then listen to Sam come out and say we were forced into nullifying their threat. popcorntastic. Brings back memories. After one particularly awful game. I believe he said on Setanta, something along the lines of "well we dominated territory and possession today." I think he may have even mentioned prozone or opta? Some stats company, to try and prove his point. Yet we lost 1-0 to one of the worst sides in Premier League history and created fuck all. In fact, Derby took 4 points off us that season
  13. I really don't think I can support a team managed by this c***. My interest in the national side, was already at an all time low. Then we went and appointed Allardyce

I don't particularly like Moyes. But he is a better manager than Allardyce, IMO and he'll potentially do more than just have them flirting with relegation and finishing 14th-17th every season.
  15. Most mates and football fans I have spoken to, think it is an awful appointment. It's only the media that seem to love him.
  16. Talksport was much the same. I keep hearing "well, he deserves his chance." Based on what? He's managed a load of mediocre teams, had one decent finish in his whole top level career, his teams play turgid football, I would guess he averages well below 50% possession and he's never won fuck all? Shouldn't an international manager be experienced at the very top level, or be a former player, with the potential to get it right? Not someone that just screams out, 'average'. I'm done with the national side. What a complete and utter farce this appointment is. Not that I was ever massively patriotic about England in the first place. It's going to be impossible for me now. I genuinely think I would have preferred Pardew as manager, over Allardyce or Bruce. But then again, that is like saying would you prefer a dog shit sandwich, cat shit roll or an infected spinal column in a bap (I should have said baguette).
  17. Aye. I also just saw that on twitter, along with that pic and it jogged my memory. Had completely forgotten about the AFCON.
  18. Didn't Mitro do a load extra sessions with that striker coach? Working on agility, finishing, timing of his runs etc. It's not like he didn't care on the pitch, like some. Is he suddenly going to look like a different type of striker and develop speed, because he does a bit of sprint training? The same as Anita, genetics mean they're not going to turn into a speedster or become a really strong, combative midfielder. As Hanz mentioned with Anita, if he bulked up, he'd lose that bit of quickness and agility he has, which is a decent part of his game. He would arguably look even worse, as he wouldn't be able to press as effectively. Which is arguably one of his better areas (I don't rate him as a midfielder, TBH). As for Mitro, should he be losing a load of weight, getting a tiny bit faster and allegedly fitter? He looked in good shape to me and I didn't think he looked unfit, cardio wise? The trade off would be we'd lose that physical presence up top. I don't really know how you reach these conclusions, either. Do we know what specific training regime both were on?
  19. During the competition, he gave himself a 10 out of 10. The highest mark possible. All whilst not actually contributing a great deal, other than running around at high speed and getting the odd shot off. No goals, no assists. You're right, he's not reached Bendtner, Zlatan or Pardew levels and I doubt he ever will. But he always seems to be talking himself up and mentioning all these massive clubs, whenever he is interviewed. He seems like a deluded fucker.
  20. FWIW, I don't hate him either. Just find the quotes quite staggering, TBH.
  21. It was the " I'm playing for a s**** club and I'm still great" bit that got me. Yeah that.....or maybe he's answering accurately to a question about his stature in France where all/most national team players are playing for top clubs. “I understand why people might doubt me." I didn't care about that bit. We are s*** and have been s*** for quite some time. The management and recruiting policy has meant we get players like this. It's more the 'I'm so great, I'm a CL player, I'm 10 out of 10 world class' type s**** he is coming out with. s*** he's coming out with in this case meaning s*** he hasn't come out with. But please do go on, didn't mean to poo on artistic interpretation of the lynching party. In case you didn't realsie, they weren't direct quotes you unfriendly ghost. If you're really that interested. You could go back through all of his old news clippings. Where he has been talking himself up, mentioning playing for all these top clubs, playing in the CL etc. All whilst playing like a bang average player. He's like a slightly better version of N'Zogbia, the way he's carrying on. If you don't think he's been massively deluded and has been talking utter shite, then fine. We'll leave it there, as it's getting pretty tedious anyway.

  23. He's not comparing himself to anyone else. Saying he was at the top of his game. If I play as well as I can for my sunday league team, should I rate myself 1/10 cos Ronaldo would've played better Did he even get an assist or a goal all tournament? So he ran around, got a few shots off and looked a bit more threatening than usual. That is hardly a 10 out of 10, IMO. You must have some pretty low standards of yourself and you footballing ability He's basically going on about how great he has been, in a shit team. Yet he's one of the reasons we got relegated and has done fuck all in the last season or two. Even in the Euros, where he was a lot better. He was his usual self. All huff and puff, without actually doing anything of note.
  24. Sturridge on the treatment table and Mane having to play as a striker quite often, would be my guess. Forgot they signed Mane, TBH. I wonder if Ings will get a look in? Been scoring a few in preseason.
