Botman, for me. Stupendous performance.
-
Glad it’s not just me. Probably got my 10,000 steps in just pacing up and down like I was in a prison yard.
-
Complete performance. 3 tough games, 3 more points than I expected from them and showing we can mix it with the bigger clubs. What a way to end the weekend.
-
MOM. What a fucking performance.

A lot of space in midfield. Keep it a two goal cushion and the crowd frustrated for 15-20 and we’ll be alright, I reckon.

Strange game. Looked good on the ball and comfortable a lot of the time. Whilst somehow simultaneously looking like we will concede every time they counter That counter press is so good. Lost count of the amount of times one of their attacks ended up back to Lloris with half our team in their half. Kane and Son are class. Keep finding space in front of the back 4. With no midfielder screening them. Then they spin in behind for the ball over the top, as well. Botman has done well against Kane, mind.

Let’s get into these Spurs slags. Not confident, really. But we have more of a chance than I thought, looking at their team.

He strikes the ball like it is a sort of cueing action, as well

100% and I might be wrong again. But I thought that came from winning it back when Everton were pushing up the pitch and we then worked that opening so quickly after nicking possession. It was unreal to watch, either way. Not seen any stats on it. But I feel like our final third possession numbers wouldn’t be great. There seems to be a lot of trying to work an opening, with us passing along the back line. But lacking that incisive pass through the lines. With only Bruno being a midfielder that is capable of getting it under pressure deep and making something happen.
-
I mean, that is extreme and a bit outrageous. But I do think our attack and the way we try and build looks a bit disjointed at times. But more because we struggle to play from the back into midfield and then build from there to try and create chances. I thought it was really noticeable second half against Everton. Minor gripe, though. As we are great from set pieces and with the counter press and trying to win the ball high up and spring something. So we do work openings across 90 minutes. The build up play will come with time and some new players/players back from injury. As for Wilson. I thought he was quality on Wednesday, with little service. Looked lively and sharp. But it does feel like he is saving himself somehow. Possibly even instructed to with his injury record and Isak being out for a while?

It is absolutely dreadful. Sounds like they are being forced to sing it, like it’s a school assembly or something.

King Lewy’s brace tonight against Villareal was pure sex. Beautiful.
-
Always looks off his chops. Grinning like a loon

I like that he doesn’t hide. He still tries the more aggressive, incisive forward passes and he is usually quality off the ball. For too often, we have had midfielders who don’t put the graft in or they hide and never want the ball. When you look at the state of some of our CM’s over the years. Sometimes, both of those apply! But just to echo everyone else in here. He often gets caught in possession, always takes a bit too long to process what he’s doing next or has an extra touch. Plus his passing has been really erratic at times this season and it was terrible last night.

Matey claiming all our games have been easy and Brighton is also an easy fixture
-
Might be something different. But it was a knee injury that kept him out against Fulham and it’s taped. So guessing it is the same injury and somehow related.
-
He didn’t look fit against Man U and it was the same last night. His knee is strapped and it must still be bothering him to some degree. It looked like he was limping after the game. I thought Howe said he ‘hopes’ he’ll be fine for the weekend? I think we need him for a game like this. I think Willock should also start, regardless.
-
I'd imagine Howe will make 2-3 changes. Big Joe sadly looks crocked and the energy levels did drop a bit last night. Maybe Willock, Fraser and possibly one more to come in? Plenty of Spurs supporters around these parts. Most seem to think they have been winning games, without playing that well most of the season. I only saw bits and pieces of their game last night, but they looked awful and the highlights were all Man U. They would have lost 5-0 if not for Lloris and also if Rashford managed to hit a corner and not straight at Lloris. They got carved open regularly, by the looks of it. I still have PTSD from going to the game there last season, mind. Started so well, looked solid and took the lead. Then completely fell apart and once they had space on the counter, we were fucked. You'd expect a response at home from them after last night's shit show.
-
I think he'll be used off the bench the next two games and then start against Palace in the cup. I just don't see Howe chucking him from the off, just yet. He certainly offers something a bit different to our other available wide options and the same for the midfield.
-
I thought the same. Burn played some hospital passes inside and seemed caught out of position a couple of times. Botman is so confident with his passing. That some of his first time attempts went out or to Everton. All that said, this back 5 is such a good unit across the board. Compliment each other so well.
-
Fucking unit, a monster of a man. Comes for everything, even comes for the ball when it is 20 odd yards out and he has no business coming for it I know I go on about it. But I speak to his cousin a bit, as he is round the corner from me. Nick loves being up there and sounds like he feels at home and enjoys it. Sounds like it is the polar opposite when he's away with England.

Palace and Bournemouth are the two that got away. 4 more points from those two games and we’d be right amongst it. I’m sure fans of other clubs are saying the same thing about their results, mind.
-
I don’t particularly like the saying ‘baller’. But it really does apply to him. Runs the game from right back, seems to always be in the right place to nick the ball away or get tight on their first touch and usually plays the right pass. Throw in his set pieces and the fact he is a proper leader of men, as well. He is just the complete package. Where it all started. Him coming has surely meant it was an easier decision for others to follow. Probably our best and most consistent player this season. Along with Schar.
