  1. So undeserved. League done and dusted already. Boring.
  2. Arsenal imploding like the England batting lineup
  3. What a fucking goal that is!
  4. Fuck off Peter Walton. You complete and utter dullard.
  5. Penalty, for me. Looks like he goes through him to get the ball. But not really clear and obvious. Hard to tell even with all the angles. Wouldn’t have been overruled if it was given. Ederson getting away with another one.

It’s almost as if they have missed the PL and all the clubs bar Man City conspiring against us. Oh and the numerous dodgy decisions and lack of intervention from VAR. Other than that. Yes. We are in cahoots with the PM and the league

I’d love to do a player for player comparison to show how ridiculous that is. But I genuinely don’t know who plays for these cunts these days.
  8. Feel gutted for those that were going to this or Everton and have lost out because of it. But from the club’s point of view. Getting these games postponed could end up saving us. Brilliant news.
  9. It’s a shame he works for those cunts. As I really like him. Been great when I have heard him on pods and interviews and he certainly seems well connected.
  10. He’s an absolute stroker.
  11. I thought last night was the final game before it resets? Thought the 19th was included?
  12. Is Manquillo now suspended for fucking about at the end and getting booked? If so, he has had an absolute shocker there. Might actually work in our favour if it means our next two are called off because of being short of the 13 by one.
  13. Thought he did pretty well. Was hard for him when Rashford switched. As I thought he was the only one willing to run with the ball from deep. He’s rapid and skinned a lot of our players cutting inside in the second half. What impressed me most was him tucking in and becoming the 3rd centre back on crosses. Regularly got his head on it and cleared the danger. Small sample size. But I think I’d rather him at right back if he is going to play.
  14. We actually had chances, at least. Does Cavani’s first shot count on top of the goal? Do dangerous crosses along the 6 yard box count? I don’t massively follow every aspect of it and all the criteria. But seems odd that ours would be lower based on watching it with my own eyes. But I suppose you did have a lot more of the ball.
  15. For sure. We made them play that straight through ball that never worked and the high press unsettled them. We played well. They were awful. Yet again, we still didn’t win. The players worked their bollocks off and the gameplan was spot on. To a man, Man U were terrible and there were individual mistakes all over the place. The two don’t need to be mutually exclusive.
  16. I was arguing for xG with mates the other day. But that’s a head scratcher to say the least
  17. That’s a bit of a disaster in the end. Two best players injured and they were awful and there for the taking. Running out of games to say “we’ll be alright if we keep playing like that.” We need wins and a lot of them! Expected to lose by a couple, mind. So probably being a bit negative. But after seeing how crap they were and how uncomfortable they looked with that formation. We should have won that.
  18. Genuinely regarded as a top ref and gets a lot of the high profile games, I think? Always said I have rated him. But probably a big part of that. Is down to the fact he supports NUFC, never refs us and so I don’t have any grudge against him for fuck ups he has made.

    Joelinton

Watched the City game in the pub with a load of non-NUFC supporting mates. They couldn't believe how good he looked. They thought I was joking when I kept saying he looks like a different player under Howe. A couple are Liverpool fans and said they thought he played really well against them, also. Below average compared to what? NUFC or the league? Either way, I don't think that is true based on his current form.
  20. Never thought I’d say this. But considering Howe was linked with him in the past. Assuming Shelvey is out, I think I’d rather see Hendrick start.
  21. I don’t think we will go wild at all this transfer window. Not expecting massive spending at all. But if we can get a couple of starters signed, plus the same again on loan in the right positions. Then I think that will make a world of difference.
  22. He was frustrating yesterday and in a few games under Howe, I think he has been. But as others have alluded to, we don't give him any quality service. Was it him that nearly scored from the corner? Feeding off scraps, yet still manages to get the odd half chance a game or nick a goal. He is ok back to goal, but is often really isolated. When he is running at players with the ball, that is when he can be frustrating. As he seems to want an extra touch or two and often ends up getting eased out of it after a heavy touch or getting closed down after he's dwelled on the ball for too long. I don't really think that is his game, mind. Need to see him in behind or getting on the end of crosses. Not really had the games of late where that has been possible, nor have we had the right players on the pitch to actually provide quality service to him. I think against lesser teams. Shelvey looking for him over the top or down the channel will be important. As will the service from out wide. Almiron never looks to get beyond the full back or cross it, for example. Hopefully Fraser, ASM and even Murphy can start to help out in that regard.
  23. Weirdly, after just losing 3-1 and 4-0. I am more positive than I was after Leicester. Howe showed he can change the set up and tactics the last two games. We were in the game against Liverpool from sitting in and playing on the counter. We had some bad luck, shit decisions and individual fuck ups that led to goals. Then the game was ended by a thunderbastard of a strike, that you can't really do a lot about. Then yesterday, we have gone for a high press against one of the best sides in the world and in the first half, actually caused them a few problems with it, should have had a penalty and again, their goals came from our mistakes and yet another belter of a finish (helped by yet more mistakes). Second half was a bit of a non-event and they had already won at 2-0. But I'm still trying to look for the positives! If we can get 3-4 starting quality players in. Then I have seen enough from Howe and certain players to be hopeful of going on a mini run of wins and draws. I mean, why not? Pardew and Bruce have pulled off some win streaks and they are atrocious managers. We are also massively helped by the fact that I still think the league is pretty crap. Got 3 teams at the top that look a lot better than anyone else. Then kind of 4-5 teams below that are much of a muchness. Then the rest look mediocre/shite. Ourselves included. All this talk about never being done before from our position. Just ignores the fact that we are not yet cut adrift, despite only picking up 10 points in 18 games. Just got to hope the games in hand go our way, I suppose.....
  24. No idea if Dubravka called it as his or not. But either way, I feel like a good chunk of blame has to go towards Clark. Whatever level you play at or watch. You regularly see keepers call for balls and the defender will just clear their lines and make sure, if they are in a decent position to do so. The fact it's on his head and ducks out the way at the very last second, leaving Dubravka looking a bit confused and wrong footed, is absolutely criminal. You're just effectively letting the ball go across your 6 yard box, not knowing what is behind you. All that said, I've watched it back this morning and Dubs looks a bit hesitant, comes to his near post, seems to shout something and then just stops. You'd like to think if there was a call for him to claim it, he would have came towards the ball and Clark would have tried to move out of his way and not just duck at the last second. Complete clusterfuck at the back yet again, though. Gifting a goal to the best team in the country after 5 minutes. It was game over already at that point and again, it's self-inflicted.
