Worried about the ASM situation if he’s going to be out much longer. We’ve had no luck with injuries since Howe came in. Optimistically going for a 0-2 win. Make it happen today Wood!

I wonder how much of a flap about relegation Brentford and their fans are in? Given the poor recent results and the upturn in us and Burnley, if we can get an early goal or at least not concede in the first half an hour or so the crown might turn.

I get the importance of not flapping and remaining positive but not sure how some are so unmoved by Burnley winning two (on paper) challenging games in a row. It clearly isn’t good for us. I’m still around a 5 it could go either way. If we beat Brentford this weekend and potentially pull Leeds and Brentford into the mix I’d be far more confident. Brentford aren’t as shit as their result have suggested mind.

Got as much faith in Spurs tonight as I did Brighton against Burnley. Not sure what’s kicked them up the arse lately but they look like the horrible shithouse team that’s comfortably stayed up the past few seasons. They’ve been awful up until recently.

I don’t hate him getting an extension. That’s assuming we buy someone who can also play in that position. We need a proper holding player or one that can perform a similar role to him.

He’s arguably the best defensive midfielder outside of the top 4 sides. He had a fantastic World Cup too. I’d love to have him here behind our Brazilians.

Losing both Trippier and ASM is crippling. We need someone to really step up today, hopefully Wood gets off the mark. Hopefully we can pinch at least a draw.

Horrendous blow. It’s worse considering Trippier and Wilson are also injured. If you take the 3 best players out of any team they’d struggle to perform at their level never mind us who’s backups are mostly Championship level.

I’m a bit confused scanning a couple of pages of that thread. They’re almost to a man enjoying the takeover falling apart as it’s a bad thing for us. Now, in their beloved sports washing threads, now they’re all human rights experts and morally way above us, they all universally think the ownership is such a bad thing for us. Which is it? I honestly don’t think I’ve seen a bitter collection of fans gravitate to one message board and bend a narrative to whatever makes themselves feel better time and time again.

His transformation under Howe has been incredible. If you posted those compilation videos that have been doing the rounds of the past few games at the time we bought him and said we’re buying a £40m midfield powerhouse everyone would be chuffed. It’s criminal what the previous regime did to his confidence, reputation and potentially his career at one point. He was never going to be a striker.

A bit scared of that makeshift back 4. So much for those Villa injuries too. I’m disappointed not to see Bruno starting but given he’d be playing in either Joelinton or Willock’s role it would be harsh on either to drop them after a couple of big performances.

Stating the obvious here but if we could win today it would be huge for our survival chances. A little bit of breathing space could go a long way and it keeps the pressure on Brentford, Everton and Leeds.
