You don't need to be a good player to have good stats, but he has good stats. Almost as good as Bowen or Saka. I'm sure our management team knows how to maximise his potential and strengths.
-
I hear Tottenham are looking at him as a partner for Kane.
-
The less I think of Barnes as a winger, and the more I think of him as a "deep-lying striker" - the better I feel about the transfer. 1) Geet quick in bringing the ball into the opposition box; 2) Can smash the ball really hard; 3) Knows where the goal is. What's not to like at 35 mil?

Loving the Eddie -Mad Dog pairing even back in 2015

Did he set up an office in his parent's bathroom FFS

Things gone very quiet on the Moussa Diaby front. With Tonali in, and if we still intend on playing a 4-3-3, Diaby would still be a fantastic addition in the right-forward role.

If we're into hoarding young wingers/forwards, we might be able to take a punt on "Aldi Kvaradona" Zuriko Davitashvili - on loan to Ligue 2 Bordeaux from the Georgian league, but certainly looks the business, and won't cost the earth. Scored against the Dutch U21s last night too. https://www.uefa.com/under21/video/0282-185ba83c6fa2-9e4790648336-1000--davitashvili-s-incredible-solo-goal/

James Maddison (now playing for Tottenham Hotspur)
Emotic replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
I suppose the difference between Maddison and Tonali, is that Tonali isn't on the last year of his contract, at a relegated club. Top teams weren't looking at him because he wasn't obviously low-hanging fruit, unlike Madders. -
Bruno Guimaraes cost 40 mil, and we’re to believe that the club will shell out 50 for a spare right-back, who just returned from a season-long ACL injury, from a relegated club? It’s either some flex, or Southampton can fuck off

Cue everyone's surprise when this is shown up to be a smokescreen for Carlos Alcaraz by tomorrow. Our club loves to undermine Puke Edwards.
-
We're seemingly buying players who drive forward with the ball at any opportunity. Being taller than 6 ft is a bonus.
-
He's still young and isn't a starter for Flamengo half the time. I doubt we'd be buying him as an automatic starter (if the rumours are true).

Shouldn’t be ragging on @Milanistaman, he’s one of our best posters on here. I always learn a thing or two in his epic posts.

Howay man, part of me wishes that these Saudi clubs will "loan" us Neves, CRonaldo and Kante for a year.
-
Articulate, motivated and gave thanks to the people who have helped in along the way. I hope he does very well and tears up the Dutch league for us.

Miguel Almiron seems to have gone seven whole years in Atlanta and Newcastle speaking nothing but Spanish, tbf.

I wish these links to Rayan Cherki had any substance whatsoever. He's a natural fit for "Howeball". High-energy, technically sublime, superb off-the-ball movement, can practically play anywhere across the front six. Cherki, Slobby Dom and Kim Min-Jae would make a solid 180 million worth of purples. Edit: Wow @gbanditjust a minute before my post.
-
Heard about his bad attitude. He only comes in After Eight.
-
Or we could save some money and play Schar in midfield ffs.

"There's a separate chamber for Under-21s!"

His highlights reel make him resemble a Spanish N'golo Kante, to be fair. Fast, energetic, tenacious, tackles well, can dribble, technically solid. Seems to play in the role that Howe has Bruno playing now - deep-lying transitional.

Without wanting to get ahead of ourselves, here's a nice video about Szoboszlai. Speaks good English; worked with Yank Lampard at Leipzig; extremely suited for a high-pressing style of football like the RB teams (and ourselves) play. Wants to win the Champions League Why the hell not, eh?
