Really pleased for him, he's got Nice right up the league on his own pretty much. I'd wager he'll be in the frame for a France recall if he keeps this up.

West Ham was disappointing. I was expecting more of a fight from us given the way we battled against Arsenal & Man U. We can't just do it against the sides at the top. The first half wasn't too bad, Janmaat really should've scored and 1-1 at HT would've been interesting but I was so disappointed in our lack of application in the second half. Way too early to jump to conclusions still, but, yeah, if we lose to Watford at home and fail to score again I will be getting a little worried tbh.

Newcastle 0-1 Andre Marriner - 29/8/15 - Post Match Reaction From Page 5

Bullying FFS. What action should the authorities take like? Wow, the soft shite. He's never experienced such venom he says? Well, he must have lived a very sheltered life. It was more like Pantomime ffs than venom. He's just using his media position to whinge and cry about something he got upset over as it was against his team. -
Newcastle 0-1 Andre Marriner - 29/8/15 - Post Match Reaction From Page 5

He was awful. I've seen all the comments from Sky, Ian Wright, Savage & co and regardless of the red card decision, the officiating was embarassingly one-sided. It's not the first, nor likely to be the last time from Marriner either. But this is the sort of media shite you have to put up with when playing one of the chosen media darlings. -
I like him, he's a smart guy and although early days I'm seeing improvement in the team. He said himself we're a long way from where we want to be but there seems to be a new professionalism to the club generally which is refreshing to see.

That's a class twitter page. They had a pic of Novak Djokovic earlier when running the Djuricic story.

Amazed Panathinaikos have the money for Abeid, even if it's 'only' a couple of million.

@PeteGravesSky: Remy Cabella has left #nufc training ground early. For all the latest on the Florian Thauvin deal follow @SkySportsNewsHQ #SSNHQ #skysources Pretty sad to see Cabella go. Never really had much of a chance coming into that mess last season.
-
@NUFC360: Contrary to french reports, Cabella is training as usual with #NUFC this morning, reports Sky Sports.
-
Still not 100% convinced this one is really happening. We've had Cabella sold to Marseille by the French press more than once this summer and I just can't see how Thauvin is worth that amount of money. Sceptical.
-
Can't understand why we'd pay them that much for Thauvin and give them arguably a better player on loan. Baffled by this if it isn't twitter bollocks.

Got the Pompey vs Derby game on. Been a while since I've seen a camera angle at basically pitch level.

He was talking about when we were 2-1 up and didn't say it was a bad thing, he said he agreed with us and in future he wants us to be able to deliver on that without exposing ourselves too much at the back. It appeared to be meant as a compliment but it was a bit of a strange one. Pardew basically said something along the lines of 'the fans asking for another goals resulted in the players losing sight of their defensive duties and as a result we conceded a 3rd goal' after the Palace 3-3 game iirc. That's not how I interpreted it, it seemed to me he was referring to towards the end of the game the fans were pushing us on "a little too much". I could of course be wrong.
-
Yeah, I heard those comments! He's going to have to get used to it. The fans rightly wanting the team to go for a last minute winner in what was an end to end game.
-
He played well, we did seem to lose shape when he went off. My only real issue with him is his height, which can be a real problem when teams exploit it. He just won't win many high balls in the middle of the park; which Southampton did highlight a number of times today.

Yohan Cabaye (now sporting coordinator at Paris Saint-Germain)

Agree with this. Players are like mercenaries, they'll switch allegiances no end if it suits them. -
It's got nothing to do with anyone else at the end of the day, do what you want to do. Those that feel strongly enough to boycott, fine. Same for those who want to go and support the team.

Free though & school holidays.

I've always rated Mehdi personally & will be sad to see him go. Had some outstanding games at CDM particularly Liverpool at home & Man City in the league cup. Never really had a decent crack of the whip imo which is a shame.

NUFC kits & merchandise - 2025/26 home kit leaked pg. 825
NUFC_Chris replied to Ryan's topic in Football
It really doesn't matter what they think or say. It's only a black n white shirt and it's perfectly understandable people don't want to wear Wonga on their chests. No different to buying a toffs shirt. -

Decided I'm going to. Not bought any merchandise since Wonga. -
I hope he doesn't follow that cock Pardew to Palace.

Can't see our defence resembling too much what we've been fielding so far. Wouldn't panic. Just get another centre back & get rid of that arse Williamson we should be fine.

Why so long to convene a panel? It's not Xmas ffs. I do wonder if this was Man Utd or Chelsea if they'd be having these issues? Or am I being cynical?
