Just seen a post on twitter that I found interesting. Says that there was only 1 match ball yesterday and it killed a lot of time waiting for it when it went into the crowd etc? Was that right? If so what the fuck was that about? They wanted to clamp down on time wasting and ball in play times etc.

From what I've seen from West Ham fans Ashby has real potential and should have been getting games for the first team. For some reason they say Moyes just doesn't trust the kids and hardly plays many of them or give them much of a chance. This is why Ashby wanted out as he said himself he wasn't getting a chance there. For us I think we rate him highly but we need to get him up to match practice and fitness that the PL demands. I've seen very few videos of him but what I have seen has been that he's very energetic and has a very good free kick ability. He does seem like the perfect protege for Trippier, and I'm excited to see him in our first team which will definitely happen once he's ready.

So that was the fourth final I've seen played at Wembley. 3 for Newcastle and 1 for England and we've lost them all Absolutely shit feeling but fully behind Eddie. We made a decent account of ourselves and we'll only get stronger from here. Now let's get that European football in the bag for next season!

Playing on a Thursday before a Sunday Cup final is a big ask, even a little knock or strain to any player could have a big impact on their team selection. It was a blatant red card. Goal keepers simply can't handle the ball outside of the area. Imagine playing against a team who's keeper does that and gets yellow card Absolutely no chance of winning an appeal.

Miggy has to score that chance very early on at 0-0. Massive massive opportunity. First 5 or 10 minutes we looked brilliant, their goal came out of nothing and then after that it was over. Really wanted to see how Anderson played and unfortunately for him he had to make way. Never been comfortable Pope coming so far off his line, he's made some excellent clearances but it felt it was only a matter of time that he brought someone down or handballed it. We played very well with 10 men though, still not convinced with Liverpool, we handed it to them and Salah was shite.
