  1. Wasn't there a new rule from the PL to basically stop any PL club from joining another league in any way? Not sure of the details but I'm pretty sure no English club will be joining if it goes ahead.
  2. Same, I'd absolutely love to go and would even travel there on my own as I'm only a couple of hours away but don't qualify for a ticket. Will be watching it on the TV and can't bloody wait.
  3. Gonna be a fiery game at Elland Road. Some real crunching tackles tonight and plenty of PASHUN
  4. Crazy thread on what's happening at Cardiff.
  5. Yeah that twitter thread above containing those emails is incredible. I'm really not sure how you can defend any of that at all.
  6. What can he see being so low down apart from a load of shin pads and socks?! As an armchair manager the higher you are to see the pitch and players positions the better right?! Andre villas boas was always on his knees watching games too iirc, just can't see any benifit to it with regards to tactics
  7. Ironically I reckon Man City have evidence of the PL turning a blind eye to what they were doing for a few years as it was all well and good for the PL brand and Man City bringing the best players to the League. Unfortunately that evidence is now just as bad for them as it is for the PL. It's all corrupt from top 6 and PL big wigs, as we found out during the takeover. Man City have fucked up here big time but the PL certainly aren't the good guys either who "stuck to their rules"
  8. So are the Premier League going to punish them before Man City can challenge it? I mean they broke the PL rules so how is it then allowed for them to run to a CAT hearing and say well hear us out first. If the PL have charged them then the punishment follows directly surely?
  9. Thing is we're still creating big big chances that we really need to put away. Wilson, Longstaff and Willock have missed big chances in the games we've drawn. Put those away and those draws turn into wins. If we were drawing games without having a sniff of goal then you could kind of blame Howe but imo that is not the case. He's keeping us tight at the back and doing enough for us to get those big chances. We just haven't got the superstars yet to bury them 9 times out of 10. Isak and Gordon in the team and we create more and score more I'm sure. Definitely missed Bruno today. His vision to spot a through ball or player running off the ball is something that Joelinton, Willock and Longstaff just don't have. Another creative CM would make a huge difference to turning these draws into wins. Can't help but think we should have done that in January. Big opportunity missed considering our current situation and position.
  10. I think he was behind Trippier (onside) when the ball was played, they had a wrestle while the ball was in the air which looks like when this freeze frame was taken.
  11. Under previous managers we would have been hanging on with our entire team behind the ball in the last 10 minutes. I just love how high we can press teams so obviously it's going to make them hard to break down, once Gordon and Isak are in full flow we'll be an even stronger team. Also impressed with how Maxi tracked back and won the ball today, he's a big player for us. Would be gutted if he left.
  12. Liked how he drifted around so much. When he played that through ball he was basically RCM. Really thought he was going to leather it in from that corner we had too, what a story that would have been.
  13. Krul with an absolute howler. Casually passing the ball straight to a Burnley player and conceding
  14. What in the Peter Kay is that
  15. I've only seen that clip and his interview when arriving but I can just tell he's going to be a great character to have in the squad. Cheeky chappy who loves to play pranks I reckon Really hope he has a good career here.
  16. Sam Matterface and his cringeworthy bingo collection of puns. Any bad miss and that player "won't be getting to sleep easily tonight" A goalkeeper doing a fake kick then tricking the on rushing forward and " oh he's living dangerously there"
  17. I followed that red rose Michelle from twitter since the takeover days. She oddly also like that same tweet that Gary nev liked. Unfollowed her straight away. Who on Earth would want to sign Greenwood now? Backlash from fans and negative PR would be massive.
  18. Got to admit I cringed when I heard the seven nation army chant, its an awful tune for a football chant and has zero creativity or wit. Nearly as bad as the most boring chant ever - liiiiiiverpool, liiiiiiverpool, liiiiiiverpool
  19. This could have been Santiago's moment. Would love a 40 yard thunder bastard from Schar in off the bar.
  20. They have games against Leeds home and away, Barcelona home and away, as well as Palace and Leicester all within 19 days. Then 3 days later its the final. Some very tough games in there. If we can have a full squad of fit players we'll have a fantastic chance. So pleased we have a manager like Howe for a cup final and not some fluke like Pardew or Bruce. Can't bloody wait!

    Alexander Isak

The ref went over to spoke to Howe and was pointing to his head. Would imagine he was saying its a concussion injury and Howe needs to take him off? Never really seen a ref do that before though.
  22. There's just going to be no consistency at Chelsea with the team selection. If you play well and keep your place they'll have talented players on the bench earning mega money on long contracts who's morale is in the mud. When those players are given a chance there are immediately under pressure to put in 8/10 performances. If they do, the same happens to the player who was playing before them. That just isn't a recipe to build a "winning team"
  23. Looks like we've binned off that nufc TV interviewer who was a bit "bland" Haven't heard him on any clips for a while and the new chap seems to ask a lot more engaging questions.
  24. From what I can make of it it's due to giving their new players absurdly long contracts which lowers the transfer fee over the future seasons. Also they had their debt wiped clean when sold. Takes the piss but they found a massive loophole with FFP hence why its being changed so soon.
