Alan Shearer @alanshearer 3 mins3 minutes ago Everyone's down on poor John Carver but I've got a lot to thank him for...he's making me look like Bob Paisley Pity he wont say stuff like this on MOTD, though.

QPR v Newcastle United - 16/05/15 @Loftus Road 3pm (Not on TV)

Heard Charver on the radio yesterday (probably from his PC on Thursday) saying he 'just wants a result, the performance isn't important'. Now, whilst its always nice to win when playing badly, surely even a thick west end pie muncher like him, must realise he has a better chance of getting said 'result' if he puts out a team capable of performing better than the opposition. Surely? -

Just seen Cabella and Abeid in Fratellis Ponteland with family and kids. Funnily enough, no one abusing them as Captain Fistpump claimed players were being.

Floated set penis to Dummett instead of Williamson, today.

Just heard that on Totalsport on way home. When an open letter from the club captain begins with... "I don't usually speak publicly too often" then is there any point reading/listening on? Then the squad apologising for "the moment we are going through".... a moment that's now 8 matches long and counting. And ending by drilling home that support is needed, despite the fact support has always been there, and results have still nose-dived. Just a complete joke, and a very obvious PR exercise. However, I'm sure some sheep will be taken in by it.

So, the Chronic's resident window licker is now proclaiming that Carver did not offer to quit yesterday, despite the National Press claiming so. Shame, I was beginning to think that maybe Carver had a shred of dignity and/or self respect left.
-
Even if we lose the next 3, and stay up due to teams below us failing to overhaul us, you just know they'll claim it as success. Saturdays match and atmosphere will be interesting. Will the sheep turn against, or get behind the team?

Nowts changed. Hope we go down, now.

LC: "John we'd never sack someone as loyal as you are to the club, and mike. And of course, we'll always have cones that need putting out"

Aye, nailed on after Carvers post match comment. Sad thing is, from the current crop of players, I don't see any other candidates.

SSN: Charnley at Training Ground to meet Charver... thats it.

We don't and quite honestly not bothered if we go down, I would love to see us have the passion like Leicester etc they may be constantly up and down and a bit s*** but better than constantly aiming for mid table. The championship seems a more fun league anyway and im fed up of us just meandering along not really doing much. If we went down, shed all of our s*** and started using youth I would get 1000% more enjoyment than the last few years. Really can't disagree with that, if we've been told we're actively never going to try to win anything again, that what's left? Being a yo-yo club, like the makems might actually be somewhat appealing, at least once in a while you get to hammer everyone for a season Except it won't be like that this time around. This. The only reason the Championship was fun was because we p*ssed it, not a chance people will enjoy it whilst we are in mid table or fighting relegation. There is no Andy Carroll, and there is no Tim Krul this time around to save us. Non of our current squad has loyalty like Nolan and Barton who stayed and fought did. If we are stuck in the Championship for a few years all Ashley will do is cut costs more, any acedemy players who look half decent will be sold at the earliest opportunity instead of retaining them for a promotion fight. Everything will be the same as now, except instead of aiming to survivor in the Premiership we will be aiming to survive in the Championship. Nothing will be won by us being relegated. Keeping most of the players that took us down undoubtedly helped, as they were clearly better than that league, but that was mainly down to them having long contracts at the time, and there being no takers for them. Hence Ashley had to foot the bill for their wages, which he then added onto the 'loan'. Most of those same players left now have had the fight knocked out of them and/or are out of/nearing end of contracts, so whether we stay up or go down, it really needs to be a rebuild job this summer. Of course, we wont buy nearly enough players to replace and strengthen the squad accordingly, and the same issues will probably surface again with squad depth.

Even KK took about 9 games to get his first win last time he came back, though he did get a few draws. Think if they do bring McClaren in now, its on the basis that he was a Championship manager anyway, so if we go down he's lost nowt - if we stay up, it'll be dressed up as partly down to him. If they are trying to bring McClaren or anyone else in, I hope they jettison Carver altogether and not just demote him, along with Stone and Woodman in the process. Next Head Coach/Manager/puppet need to at least bring his own people with him.

Aye, be to beg them not to let him speak to NUFC.
