Just seen this RT'd on Twitter, not sure if it has any significance to potential takeovers, or owt..

I guess that's why Wraith is/was so sure Staveley wont be taking over. Because his 'fwend' Floyd will be investing instead. "Ooooh, Fwend"
-
Amazing. Only had 3 players playing and got 60pts. Salah as captain got 52 of them!!

Thing is, pundits on Soccer Saturday and the like, keep talking about 'the passionate fanbase' and 'the loyal fans' and how the teams plight is such a shame for them. Then talking about how the ground is half full, and the fans are streaming out at 0-2 with 20mins left.

Clark-Salter really doesn't want to play any more. Sent off against Boro, 3 game ban, first match back today, sent off again. Hehe At least he can go back to Chelsea.
-
Whilst not condoning what Carragher did, its ridiculous that the bloke who was filming him on a mobile, while driving is basically gonna get off with a slap on the wrist - after he went straight to the gutter press with his 5 second clip, and probably got paid a decent amount for it.

another defeat, another player sent off.

Just got his 2nd and fulhams winner
-
Surely they didn't have to close it for next season? They could have just renamed it the 'League One Concourse'?
-
Hehe Bally. They seem to forget/ignore that he was caretaker for 11 matches at the end of the 2005-06 season, overseeing a 1-4 loss to us down there, and then subsequent relegation.

Convenient injury, after being called out on MotD by Lampard. Meh, bring Merino in.... probably need his more defensive side against Liverpool anyway.
-
Meh, raised their game for the derby that they don't call a derby. A point is still no good for them really. Only really celebrating it because its against Burra. Lets hope they react the same way as after their last 3-3 draw.
-
FFS. Oh well, disappointing to let the win slip, as long as we don't lose now. We'd have taken 4 pts from this and Man Utd... we just didn't expect to get the 3pts off Man Utd!
-
Took you 90 minutes to pack?? Massive girls blouse Haha, well yer knaa, packing and sorting other sh*t oot. Last few matches I've watched we've ballsed it up, so didn't expect owt different today, TBH. Massive well done to the lads though!
-
WOW!!! Cracking and unexpected result! Up to 13th!! Didn't see the game (busy packing for NYC tomorrow), but we needed that!! Lets hope we can use it to push on and get a few more pts on the board, and away from the bottom.

George Caulkin has said on twitter (after Conn's previous article) that he is credible. However, its strange that this journalist seems intent on exposing Staveley as some sort of charlatan, whereas no-one ever goes into such depth to expose and put pressure on Ashley for his running of the club.

Got a very decent 72 pts this week, mainly thanks to Salah (captain) and Dacoure last night. Was gutted when Alonso was out, but then Dacoure came off the becnh with a lovely 10 pts. Still have triple captain and my 2nd wildcard to use at some point too.
-
Their biggest mistake was assuming they'd always just stay up, hence none of their players and especially the big earners had relegation clauses. If they go down again and he' still there, Rodwell will be on the same money in league 1!! And they also have Kone in the team who looks like he doesn't want to be there, and plays as such. Bet they wish they'd taken that bid from Everton for him now.

Classic FF week for me. Got rid of Calvert-Lewin and he scored today, but also when I got rid of Mahrez, I brought in Walcott instead of Mkhitaryan. DOH!

Seen a couple of tweets (from others) suggesting they may have been summoned to the club for 'a chat'. If that was their last display, it was certainly a memorable one and got the Keegan quote noticed/talked about. -

http://ashleyout.com/articles/statement-from-ashleyout/ Statement from AshleyOut 31/01/2018 Yet another transfer window has been and gone with Mike Ashley failing to allow meaningful investment in Newcastle United’s playing squad. There could be little debate that the squad was in desperate need of significant reinforcement during January. Not doing so represents yet another gross dereliction of duty from the ownership, and is further demonstration of why Mike Ashley is not fit to be custodian of Newcastle United. To date the 2017/18 season could only be viewed as a success away from the pitch – the club retained the services of Rafa Benitez, a return to the Premier League meant a vast increase in TV revenues, and fans have backed the team with near capacity crowds for each home match. However, it is apparent that this passion for the team is not shared in the boardroom. Mike Ashley is once again gambling with the very future of Newcastle United by failing to use this momentum as a launchpad upon which the club can build. As a result, relegation from the Premier League for the third time during his tenure is now a very real possibility. After last Sunday’s defeat to Chelsea, Rafa Benitez said: “The Newcastle fans are very clever, they know what is going on”. AshleyOut noted the club resorting to the same tired PR tactics as in previous years, giving the illusion of activity when no permanent transfers appeared to be genuinely in the offing. Similarly, we fully expect to hear the same clichés from the club about our inability to get signings ‘over the line’, despite the fact they had a full month to finalise deals the manager laid out when the transfer window opened. As always, we will support Rafa Benitez and the playing squad as they attempt to secure Premier League survival, however we also remain committed to seeing Mike Ashley removed as Newcastle United owner. AshleyOut will continue to campaign until he sells the club, and urge him to do so as soon as possible.
