I think it matters as Vlad isn’t free and we are paying for him but fair enough.
-
Yeah they are, nothing is been broken by the reporters reporting on us.
-
Interesting thought but I think the commitment to migrate to squad cost seems pretty set. It’s also important to remember these rules were designed by the clubs themselves, ultimately most of the owners are business people who would love nothing more to reduce cost and increase profit which is what these rules will do.
-
To be fair, he seems to violate the no dickhead policy which we have and I imagine all support?
-
IF the fee is the reported 20m we know how it reflects in our books, it’s just the fee divided by the contract length. Of course forest recognise that revenue away too.
-
I don’t think that’s being ignored at all. Hence my references to other clubs PSR workarounds generally being a more like for like nature. (Academy player for academy player).
-
Because he’s not free and we are paying his salary and amortising the supposed 20m fee. Because the clubs actions generally merit discussion hence this forums existence?
-
Yeah it strikes me as a bit of last minute panic we need to pick some off this list of players we don’t know much about let’s go with the guy with the best record on paper. I think we’ve shown a bit of naivety tbh, we clearly knew about our FFP issue so I’m surprised we weren’t more proactive in addressing it.
-
Of this list only Archer, (buy back clause) Philogene and Clarke are comparable. Of those two they haven’t played much in the premier league. Also, Vlads salary has to be offset compared to Anderson which likely means we are paying slightly more on a weekly basis.
-
Transfer market dear me. He’s still young and clearly has both ability and potential, it’s also worth remembering he was always a bit part player who never really found his true place in the side. don’t get me wrong, I’m not saying he’s a world beater or anything but he got himself a premier league move Brighton also were interested according to the athletic. Of course he’s a consequence of the position we found ourselves in all we can hope is we manage our sales better in the future. and obviously the large concern is we have got a player in return who is probably costing us 7m a year who we won’t be able to shift
-
15m is poor going for someone with actual top flight experience decorated at practically all youth levels for England and obviously has promise mind. if you look at other clubs FFP workaround deals they were all basically youth player for youth player nobody loses deals basically. We’ve managed to make a deal whereby we are the loser imo.
-
35m for him is a great deal, 15m is not. This shouldn’t be difficult to follow.
-
So we basically got 15m for Anderson what a horrible deal
-
For sure, I mean we can estimate that this deal will cost about 20m per year in Amortisation and wages and that’s a huge amount. but as you’ve mentioned,I don’t want to make this FFP chat so will leave it at that.
-
The reports seem to suggest Mitchell has minimal input for this window obviously we can’t be sure if that’s true or not.
-
Aye it appears palace have named the price; if they’ve done so and being up front with us all the way I salute them. The price is absurd to me and clearly intended to warn off potential buyers, if we are daft enough to pay it we have more money than sense. also, my obligatory I don’t want to hear us cry about FFP whilst shipping in the most expensive market in the world applies.
-
Rightfully so, we’d want our lot to take the same stance if someone came in for Bruno. The mouthing off in the me is has triggered some but if your a palace fan you provably appreciate the transparency from Parish.
-
He doesn’t exactly have a lot of suitors given his massive salary.
-
They sell loads of pure profit academy players like Lewis hall, Tino and Guehi. Our academy needs massive investment and time for us to catch them.
-
I think if we offer 70m they will take it and laugh, regardless of it they buy 2 centre backs. I’m sure when they first picked this price it was as a joke as they thought nobody will pay it.
-
Yea decision is imminent.
-
I mean I understand why they didn’t Charlotte moved the goal posts and it doesn’t feel like much money. but on the other hand; it’s yet another player who is ageing, value decreasing who are holding on to. Meanwhile we are relentless told how much of an issue FFP is despite doing absolutely nothing to change it. It does all feel like a bit of a contradiction.
-
Yeah I hear you on that, If we can only have one it’s the trade off we have to consider, that being said having to start Murphy or Miggy is a bigger sin in my eyes, your speaking of a situation whereby we have an injury, we are likely to be watching Miggy and Murphy week in week out because those are the two options.
-
Because the game didn’t feature the guy who will be back in 2 weeks nor the other guy who will be back in the new year. Don’t get me wrong, we need a new centre half but it doesn’t need to be a 70m one in this specific window. The right winger issue is a long term chronic issue which hasn’t been addressed for many years.
