  1. It’s only been three games. Not sure you can draw any conclusions about ‘form’ from that.
  2. Yes. He’s only played three games since being out for two and a half months.

I imagine the theory is that repeatedly playing on Spurs pitch, some how weakens the ACL long term, so it’s then more susceptible to go pop at some point, regardless of whether that time happens to be when Spurs are at home. Although if you take Madison, he done his against us in America pre-season, so it had probably been months since he actually played on Spurs pitch.

Wonder if he’s got a wage reduction clause if they go down? Obviously they can’t sell him now and having a player on the thick end of £200k a week in the Champ, who can’t even play for you, would seem pretty ruinous.
  5. OK, I see, so in that sense it would probably be logistically possible, but I still wouldn’t want to see it based on the answer to number 1.
  6. Actually the issue/problem isn’t really the cup(s) as such, it’s the financial disparity between the current ‘elite’ and the rest, and the restrictions placed on clubs that want to close that. If they could improve/lessen that (yes, I know…), then you have more of a competitive balance resulting in a bigger spread of cup winners over time.
  7. 1. Would completely devalue the competition for me. May as well put an asterisk next to any winners if they do that. 2. Almost logistically impossible now if it involves a team playing in Europe that season. 3. Surely that’s a wider point (which many will agree with you on), but can’t really see how they could justify binning it off in the cup whilst keeping it in the league. All in or all out for me.
  8. Ah, fair enough, I was gonna say…
  9. 10 points for Forest is pretty wild… Chelsea (a) Newcastle (h) Man Utd (a) Bournemouth (h) *plus a two-legged semi with Villa

    Lewis Hall

Picked Hall over Burn virtually all season. Picks Burn over Hall for one game. “Classic Howe loyalty”.
  11. If I’m understanding the statement correctly (and there’s a reasonable chance I’m not…), it would seem that WBA haven’t been on top of a rule change (regardless of what that rule change was) and have made a miscalculation that has pushed them over the limit. It’s all a bit shit, as these things often are, but you’ve got to stay on top of the rules nowadays, otherwise this is the result. Points deduction probably feels a bit harsh (even if it’s ‘only’ two points which are going to result in being fairly irrelevant) but seems teams don’t really care about fines.

  13. As @Disco has mentioned before, Eddie gives him the shortest of shrifts.
  14. Randomly going up to a person in the public eye to abuse them is odd enough, but the need to film it probably tells you everything you need to know.
  15. Said he has a chance of being back for next week.
  16. I don’t think Eddie ever answered in this affirmative manner about Isak…
  17. Ryder asking in today’s presser if Gordon was picking and choosing his games. Shot down in flaws by Eddie: ”Anthony Gordon is injured, 100%. It’s a non-question”
  18. Probably give him a new contract. Apparently on £40k a week, which doesn’t really tie in with being valued at £100m.
