  1. Yes I'm sure it was us rather than the fact that he'd either done nothing (Southampton) or completely fucked up (Liverpool, Benfica, Galatasaray, us) every job he'd had since the blank cheque book and more money than the rest of the league combined at Rangers where he bombed in Europe every time. Twat of a bloke.
  2. Isn't that just the sort of craic you get in mixed pubs and around the ground at almost any game? Forest fans were going on about how welcoming we were and how great the city is (youtube, not anecdotal), for shame N.O not having a self-congratulatory small-time thread about it
  3. I just see the video for Disappointed by Electronic looking at all that jizz. In old money though we played really well and deserved the win

    Lee Charnley

Why in the blue hell would they want this chinhead His vaunted commercial deals that stagnated the club in a boom period or his prowess at waiting ages for a return call from Barnes or Bishop telling him whether he could sign off on a loan deal for some stiff from Leicester.
  5. Yeah. Seeing a performance like that and thinking 'we don't need anything else' is so last-regime. Hopefully the opposite encouragement is there now that 'wow we can really kick on with a bit extra'
  6. Don't want to get into an arguement but I just don't get how this bloke isn't a prat. Makes endless content with himself front and centre then whines about attention that sounds akin to a rowdy bar, away end back in the day. Gets another video churned out about nowt though which is probably the sad bottom line.
  7. Frightens me at times. How consuming it must have been to turn individuals form completely around, to get the team playing really good football, to forge a team spirt, to improve results beyond recognition and to get the players this fit from the dreck that was inherited. I wouln't have it in me to carry myself well after that but he even does that too.
  8. I think so too. You cant simulate it so now they know the level they'll have to be going forward. Its a bit like not wanting to play a team after they've been pasted. Minds are just that bit more focused out of fear. We were fine against Spurs and good at Coventry but no idea how we played with such confidence at Old Trfford
  9. In light of Schar's goal today and Maddison long range prowess, when were so dominant but need that X factor to open the scoring - want this more now
  10. Carried on from the Arsenal game. Clean sheets. Domiant. In the end the goals that reflected that. Two different level of opponents and we just carry on. The only issues was whether the footballing gods would allow us to score, the bit we can control, we've been excellent in.
  11. Lets take this time to remember their wanky comments on their forum ahhhh satisfying
  12. Said its got Charlton 98/99 day one vibes about it in the build up. Much, much better performance than that, but still
  13. We've 800 more points in the 30years of the PL than these. (A bigger gap than Leeds/Leicester to Swindon) If we ceased to exist tomorrow, given its taken them 38years by the end of this season to get 640points in the topflight, there's every chance no mackem would live to see them over take that. How embarrassing
  14. This has just really kicked in the last 15minutes. The excited nervous, bring it on and lets get it over with feel.
  15. Absolutely frightening how long when I think about it. 2004 probably. Battered Spurs under Sir Bobby and suffered daylight robbery. Think it being Saturday and 3pm really helps. The other years under Sir Bobby had kick-offs all over the place. Its got a Charlton 1998 vibe all over it.
  16. Bournemouth 1-1 Villa Palace 1-1 Arsenal Everton 0-2 Chelsea Fulham 0-2 Liverpool Leeds 1-1 Wolves Leicester 1-2 Brentford Man United 2-0 Brighton Spurs 3-0 Southampton West Ham 0-2 Man City (cant do ours)
  17. Be in that neighbourhood but I wouldn't exactly mirror it anyway and instead do an extra curve on top representing the tyne bridge behind it....cos I'm soft like that. Keep its more unique than uniform.
  18. Yes. Its like the concept that the smarter you get the smaller your social circle. The any old riff-raff for no apparent reason (Saviet, Colback, Hendrik) era is over. Particularly like the word "targets"
  19. Absolutely. Even when players were transfer listed with a fee beisde them there was negotiation
  20. Last time we played Mansfield in the cup we got 41,500. Last time they played Mansfield in the cup they got 7,000. Like for like attendances will be as dominant as the average attendances but 'ain't that just like a mackem, bringing a knife to a gun fight'
  21. What a season that must have been for them. Relegated rock bottom with a record low points total. Beaten twice off their champions league 2nd group-stage reaching rivals who finished 3rd and as if that's not bad enough we beat their soulmates Feyenoord and Juventus along the way.
  22. Tend to think 'stuff it' with all this bidding, but its not like the people were bidding for now are off a conveyor belt in a cloning facility so will just go with the club.
  23. Is that true about some of our lot jumping Everton fans at Central Station in the early 90s (and thus the root of their deep bond) or is it an RTGism. Only I've never heard of this until today. Would have to have been August93 as we never played them in the early 90s but for that. Noticed somebody half-heartedly mentioned as a team they get on with as Verona. That I can believe. The most racist place in Italy.
