Would love to see Rafa back at the club one day, not as manager but working in the background somewhere. I had plans last night so wasn't able to go to the town moor, but had booked a haircut in for yesterday back in January so was in town anyway. I've genuinely never seen anyhting like it, Newcastle has a reputation for being a party city and I don't think it'll ever see a party this big ever again unless we win the Premier League. All these people claiming "It's just the Carabao Cup" can go fuck themselves - yesterday showed how much it meant to this city and this team. My haircut finished at 4 so I thought I wasn't going to be able to find a good spot to watch the parade from, but thought I'd head through Eldon Square up to Eldon Gardens and see if I could go down to the car park behind the multistorey and catch a glimpse of the bus from there. On my way I found a bunch of people huddled around a window on the bridge overlooking Percy Street and couldn't believe my luck - I'm tall as fuck so slotted in behind them and had a mint view - the bus went by directly below us! Long post, apologies. What a fucking day, man. The stuff dreams are made of.
