  1. That’s a harsh take, on limited information. If he was a bad apple, then we don’t want him. Goes without saying. I don’t think Howe would be interested if he thought this was the case. Along with Richarlison, Gordon looked like the only Everton player positively affecting games in their (previous…) relegation fight. He was, and still is, a bit wet behind the ears but made a positive difference. I wouldn’t put too much store in what their GOT forum is saying. The fanbase, whole set-up, is toxic at the moment. From Lampard down they’re in threat mode, shitting themselves about the very real prospect of their first relegation. Blaming and moaning rather than pulling together. I know Everton fans who rate him, and who are frustrated with his end product; but we all long for a superhero, especially when our backs are against the wall. Gordon wouldn’t be high on my list of exciting transfer targets, but there is no doubting the attributes he has, and perhaps more importantly the potential he has. He is a warrior; tireless and purposeful with a great engine. The kind of terrier characteristics we would love and Howe could hone. He doesn’t look a natural finisher but that is improving, and will continue to improve, especially when in a supportive set-up with the right coaching. I could see him competing, and beating Joe Willock or at least bringing the best out of each other. With more options for a simpler final ball his assists and goal scoring will improve. Anyway, guess I am saying I can see a player, one that we would want, in there. Ultimately all that matters is what Eddie thinks.
  2. On the Miggy 1-2, reminds me a bit of Beardsley’s standard leg flick dribble. Seemed to do it all the time, but still worked.
  3. Yep, but don’t particularly feel the content using a shithouse.
  4. If they would let him go for that I’ve no doubt we’d take him.
  5. More a ‘crosser’ a ‘shooter’ which means less direct.
  6. Bagged his parking space… it’s a kind of respectful goodbye ?‍♂️
  7. Known by single, Brazillian style, nickname: Geordie
  8. Jogging to the team bus! beautiful bionic bastard ?
  9. Just watched press conference with Nathan Jones. It feels like an age since we last saw him.
  10. I mean, I get that it’s probably important to keep your cards close to your chest transfer wise, I do. But I hate it! Sooo missing a juicy rumour (with some basis in reality) or two.
  11. Some unattributed blurb on Sky saying he’s still one of our targets but he’s not keen on a move to us. Don’t think his injury, Rogers said he’s involved in training again, would necessarily be an obstacle.
  12. Nope, we’ll have touted him. He didn’t want to go (apparently) and don’t see the ‘grown-ups’ selling a player without Howe’s full buy-in
  13. He is being a decent and fair human being. As we would expect. Focusing on the positives of what Wood has contributed. My read is that it opens the door for a different kind and better forward player. He’ll be delighted if he gets his man (one close to top of list). We need someone, not just want, but no guarantees is all he’s saying.
  14. I think you’re right, in that he would/could be used in that way. I just think there is close to zero chance, given where we are and where we want to head, that we choose to see out the rest of this season with an injury prone (and yet to find form again) Wilson and a recently returned and still to fully establish himself Isak. It is not who we are anymore.
  15. Nee chance. Love Joelinton, but he can’t hit a barn door when it counts.
  16. Apologies for posting as no substance, but it at least whets the appetite: “NEWCASTLE READY TO MOVE THROUGH NINE-MAN LIST Newcastle have been quiet so far this month but that could all change in the last 11 days of the window. The Telegraph has been told by a ‘well-placed source’ that the Magpies are ‘getting their ducks lined up’ and they have been doing checks on a nine-man transfer list. We already know it includes Ziyech as one of three Chelsea players. Anthony Gordon remains a target despite a miserable season so far with Everton, while their list of midfielders features Youri Tielemans, Ruben Neves and Scott McTominay. James Maddison is also still on Toon’s radar but it seems the Leicester star isn’t quite as keen to move to the North East. Elsewhere, the Daily Mail says Newcastle have submitted a £13.5million offer for 18-year-old Flamengo forward Matheus Franca, while El Nacional claims they are one of two teams eyeing a move for Real Madrid veteran Luka Modric, with Inter Milan also keen on the Croatia star.”
  17. I’ve a terrible transfer thirst on me this fine cold morning.
  18. Not saying Notts… for Forest; but to be fair I think we should all cease and desist now they have helped us out.
