For the record Dave Beasant has been kicked up the arse by a(our) Brazilian. Think he kinda liked it. I once got stabbed in the arse by a Brazilian (doctor and with a needle). I didn't like it; it hurt but it was a remarkably effective therapeutic intervention. I'm not telling what anyone should think but that last line is completely untrue. We all know that the only reason they are buying Newcastle is sportswashing their image and moving the conversation to something else than their human rights situation. So it naturally is tied to what happens in Saudi Arabia. You can't just separate the two things at that point. Whether you give a s*** or not is another matter. You seem pretty convinced of the reason for purchase. Do you live next door but one to "Newcastle Fan'?

Oddly, given the result, Rob Lee vs. Chelsea. FA Cup semi-final. Was just so desperate to see us score at Wembley, it felt amazing. Closely followed by Shearer semi-final goal against Spurs, at Old Trafford. I was convinced that was the year.

How sweet would that taste for him? He must have felt thwarted/a sense of defeat at not being allowed to finish his 'project'. Or at least have had a sore head from banging it against obstinate Ashley (... which, thinking about it literally, would also be be pretty sweet!).
