  1. Must be compensated by the signing of elite players from elite clubs. Maybe Jesus’s four goals have helped mask the disastrous impact of such a schoolboy transfer strategy.
  2. That’s the second time that ‘tweeter’ has posted the same stuff as I have on here.
  3. No it is still second best, if you include all of Keegan’s games in charge. I’ve posted a table somewhere and will update at the end of the season.
  4. Homesick for where? Was he not born in Surrey?
  5. Really relieved that common sense has prevailed. Would have been insane to heap further misery upon him. Might not have to ceremonially burn my framed Tonali and Bruno goal celebration picture now!
  6. Hindsight is selective too. For example, he played really well in the last sixteen games of 2021-22. We took 31 points from those games, only really getting tonked off Spurs and City away. We looked dead and buried before then; 11 points from 19 games at the turn of the year. Obviously not just Targett making the difference, but for the difference he made in that period alone, I think he was a good signing.
  7. Stolen his song and his corner flag obsession…
  8. I’m sure it was messy piss. (one glass for each letter of the lad’s full name…)
  9. Oh dear… . Makes the tattoo I got on the day before my 16th birthday at Totty’s on Camperdown Street, look dec… well not decent but not as bad. Repent at your leisure young Lew.
  10. Well we can only offer one of them… .
  11. To be fair @Jack27 has a good record!
  12. Played in the same boys team as Rashford, if I recall correctly. Fletcher Moss based in West Didsbury Manchester.
  13. ? In Sun’lun’s fair town, where the seagulls go down… ? It’s a banger!
  14. I was reading somewhere (can’t find it) about this being our highest scoring season. It is going to be. We are on 74 already (2.18 goals per game; GD 19). Converting all PL seasons to 38 games (was 42 in our first two seasons) means that best we have done previously is 1993-94, 1.95 gpg, so 74 overall (82 actually), GD 41; 2001-02, 74 scored GD 22; 2022-23 scored 68, 1.79 gpg, GD 35; 2002-03 scored 63, 1.66gpg, GD 15; 1999-00 scored 63, GD 9. So Eddie’s free scoring Mags will have two of the five highest scoring seasons in his first two full seasons.
  15. Another one of, perhaps the King of, the beautiful black and white ‘County Durham traitors’.
  16. Gameweek 36 Luton 1-1 Everton Arsenal 4-1 Bournemouth Brentford 2-1 Fulham Burnley 1-1 Newcastle Sheff United 3-2 Forest Man City 2-0 Wolves Brighton 1-1 Villa Chelsea 2-1 West Ham Liverpool 2-0 Spurs Palace 3-1 Man United
  17. From what I’ve seen, Burnley have been playing better/looked tougher to beat. Just checked they’ve only lost once in last eight games (mainly draws). 19th in League, but 11th in form table. Man Utd currently 12th in form table. We are 3rd.
  18. 7 would be my guess too. If three of those are from Man Utd, then confident that 60 points will be enough for 6th.
  19. Here's the end of April update to the Top Six prediction I've been doing all season. As you can see (and is pretty much evident from the current table) we're not far away from it now! Three points behind what we should have (based on average total points return of 62 for sixth place), given relative difficulty of games and number of games per month.
  20. Missed the game and just read through thread from start to finish. With you brother. ‘Twas grim reading.
  21. Intermittent concrete carriers didn’t help either. As a young lad I personally had three experiences of being crushed/winded against them in the Gallowgate. They stopped you getting moved around knocked over in the surges but at some risk.
