The notion that some folk would happily stay at St James even if we couldn’t expand just beggars belief. We’ve now got the most ambitious owners in world football, in what world are they going to be happy with the 8th or worse largest stadium in the country. As if these owners would sit by and allow Leeds, Everton and Chelsea to also expand higher than us. Some folk on here clearly belong in fucking Beamish and have the ambition of Steve Bruce.

You think it compares with the facilities at Spurs and Arsenal ? If you cant upgrade/increase the east stand and gallowgate it will never be best in class.
-
‘Best in class in all respects’ I’m really not sure that would include the stadium if we remain at St Jame’s. I actually think it’s inevitable we’ll move and build a new stadium and I’d support whatever decision they made.
-
Dear old Dolly Potter would be proud of that.
-
I’m sure if they turned it into a club museum to house our incoming trophies, the majority of the city would turn a blind eye.

Adidas club badges are different quality compared to ours. I’m not anti Castore, but think they need to sort badge and then getting rid of that shit sponsor will fix the rest.
-
Does Leazes Terrace have to be kept as residential though ? The loss of light is only an issue if people are living there. If the club bought Leazes Terrace and came up with some crazy plan to incorporate it into the stadium that issue is surely resolved.
-
Could Leazes terrace not be incorporated into a new East Stand development, basically purchase the building and incorporate it into the stand. Purchase and bulldoze the offices backing onto boot boy alley and hey presto we’ve got space for a new structure. Before anyone scoffs these people build city’s and if I remember correctly Leazes Terrace is currently Middle Eastern owned. My own preference is Castle Leazes or a spectacular stadium down by the riverside. We could create something for the ages with this backing and everyone in the stadium would have great sight lines. I’ve got no doubt St Jame’s would look better with an extended Gallowgate and East Stand, but I’m no fan of the current lop sidedness and wouldn’t thank you for a seat in level 7.

It would be interesting to know if Woolsington was bought with club cash and siphoned off much like Strawberry place under Ashley. It’s hard to criticise Hall due to the great times we had, but there was undoubtedly many shady dealings such as ghost offices and factories charged to the club.
-
Aye, that was the plan and sure the Halls still own Woolsington. Think it had fallen into disrepair and the finger was being pointed at them, not sure what it’s current state is.
-
The training ground will most likely be on land out towards the airport. Think there’s a lot to be said for it being in a rural location away from the frenzy of the city, especially when looking at Leicesters new facility. The most exciting aspect of this club is that I don’t think anyone really knows how big we can become. There’s no doubt the potential is frightening and other clubs have every right to be worried.

Meanwhile the best owners in football are lapping up life in the regions capital.

Tremendous that, especially in the current climate of energy price rises. We’ve hit the jackpot with this lot, almost worth the 14 years of misery.

This will upset the mackem metro centre shoppers. Fantastic. https://www.themag.co.uk/2022/02/new-newcastle-united-shop-to-open/

Didn’t realise I’d been spotted on way to the match on Tuesday.

Garyswc is not a happy lad. The club have more than sufficient evidence to show this fucker is a die hard mag arsehole. If they don't contact the league to insist he's not allowed to take charge of the game it is just further evidence of the shambles.

Not often I’ll agree with Fanny but they’ve always had an element. Anyone there in 92 or at Kings Cross after they played Spurs in league cup final will vouch for that. Not sure what the new ground is like, but you always had to watch your back at Filbert Street. Always fancied themselves when they had numbers in their favour, so quietly impressed by that lad today wanting to take on the Forrest team.

Maybe they should just employ you as DoF Fanny you always make these deals sound so easy. Meanwhile back in the real world……. -
I don’t think it would be wild to suggest we’ll be in for Botman, Nunez and Paqueta in the summer as 3 high end deals. Supplement them with a couple of younger promising players and I think we’d be looking at top half next season.

The thought of Lampard striding on the pitch at the end and fist punching the air makes me nauseous. Absolutely vile set of fans hope we smash the cunts. -

Apparently Richarlison and the young lad Gordon played well today. There’s no doubt they’ve got some good players and have underperformed this season. Massive test but think we can get something, 2 wins on the spin would be huge. -

I’d take Sarr to be honest if he was fit, it would be a stretch to say he wasn’t far superior to Fraser. -
Can’t disagree with this, when the place is rocking it takes some beating.

We looked more balanced in the 2nd half at Leeds with Longstaff in the midfield. If we’re going to become a possession based team, i’d probably swap Longstaff for Bruno as the only change. Not a big fan of Shelvey, but being realistic Howe isn’t dropping him this season. Then for me it’s a choice between Willock and Joelinton, based on his 2nd half performance at Leeds I’d give Willock another chance. Joelinton is a very good option off the bench when the game is more broken, but getting Willock scoring again would be massive in the run in.
