This would be the funniest possible outcome.

I’m mobile only unfortunately. Clearly being discriminated against for my technological choices.
  3. I don’t know whether the funniest thing would be not to sign anyone and prolong the meltdown, or to and get a centre back and right winger thereby rendering the crying of the last few weeks completely pointless.

I didn’t know we had one.

There are some proper miserable arseholes on here. They could bring down the mood at a child’s funeral. Every transfer window there’ll be someone trying to talk people onto the window ledge with them because we haven’t strengthened in X, Y or Z position. Sorry like but it is frankly unhinged behaviour lose your mind over us not doing deals for Dele Alli or Jesse Lingard or Sander Berge. I can’t say whether it’s a phenomenon that’s unique to our club or not. My suspicion is - like everything - the internet is to blame. Either way we could do with some people logging off and going outside once in a while.

Best be logging off for the next few days.
  7. Wasn’t there an interview last week where they talked about the stadium situation?
  8. I fundamentally disagree with this fwiw.
  9. At the fee rumoured it would’ve been mental to accept it. No idea why people want to flog our players like they’re getting rid of a job lot of kids toys on Facebook Marketplace.
  10. Adding this post to my big manila folder labelled “people playing Football Manager and thinking they have the faintest clue about how the sport works has ruined the modern game”.
  11. The obsession with the right wing doesn’t make a great deal of sense to me, even as a card carrying Miggy-hater. It’s not a ‘problem position’. Our numbers from an attacking POV last year were great. Creating and scoring isn’t much of an issue. It doesn’t feel like there’s a plethora of world class right wingers we can take our pick from either. There’s no point in us dropping a PSR-ruining amount of cash for a very marginal improvement on what we currently have, leaving us hamstrung during the next few windows. I’m not sure how I feel about the pursuit of Guehi - ask me on Friday and then again at the end of the season if we actually sign him - but I understand the rationale for focusing on centre back over a winger.

I feel you brother. I too am longing for the sweet embrace of death.
  13. Because we’ve found it really easy to sell players for large sums recently?
  14. Honestly man some of you cunts shouldn’t even be allowed to watch football.
  15. I’m still very much of the mindset that we judge at the end of the window. Pointless to get worked up before close of business. However I will say that as a minimum we need to complete the Guehi deal or get a centre back of equivalent quality to avoid looking like total wallies. Mitchell will have lost all credibility if we can’t get that over the line. A right winger would be nice, but I’m not as panicked by our options there as some are.
  16. I don’t think we are a priority. We’re part of a portfolio of assets that are being used by a nation state to project soft power. This is evident whenever their league buys from elsewhere in the PL at vastly inflated prices. Saudi Arabia is the priority. We’re a vehicle.

Someone posting this is usually the signal for Parish to tell everyone he’s rejected another offer. Give it an hour or two.

Such a good advert against the use of hard drugs.

I’m sorry, but have I just seen England international and Premier League club captain Marc Guehi described as an unknown quantity? Unhinged.

5 minutes must be a new record.
  23. If circumstances were different they would be different, yes. Someone triggers Bruno’s release clause and we probably keep Minteh. He - and let’s be honest every other youth player we’ve hoovered up in the last 24 months that people are getting attached to - are seen just as much as future income as they are future NUFC players.
  24. Minteh did exactly what he was meant to do - arrive, increase in value and get flipped for a big profit. Our treatment of him from the moment he signed made it very transparent. He was a PSR parachute. The reason that clubs are going down the route of trading youth is that it’s an inherently less risky approach than selling your best players and hoping you can reinvest in equivalent quality.
