Job done, no harm no foul, with a few extras they had a couple moments - good for them, cracking goals, Osula's notched, Miley looks as composed returning from a long lay-off as a kid as he did starting games for the first time as a kid, great gate nothing we didn't already know but the fringe doesn't impress, Sanusi tried way too hard, not liable to shift what we need to on that evidence

Blackburn's a safe guess. Not often we get through a season without playing them in a cup. Usually Man City failing that so something completely different again please. Coventry h if I could pick.
-
Won there more than we've lost since 2012 - and two of the four losses were at Wembley
-
To be fair to them that's stil more than they got for a 3rd round tie against Arsenal in the 90s

HBA was wasted on that version of NUFC and the ray of sunshine he was also came with that regret. What he was with us was the bare minimum he could have been. Know the times don't match up but he'd have fit Sir Bobby's team like a glove. Probably wouldn't be an arguement about it but for that.

Could probably count on one hand with digits to spare the amount of times they've filled that ground for a cup tie

FA Cup 3rd round day was my favourite weekend of the season. The f*ck have they done to it.
-
The question is more why is that such an outrageous concept? Given was dropped on occasions and Sir Bobby preferred Harper at times.

seriously, with a view to winning and balance: Pope / Woodgate Schar Hall Trippier / Robert Solano Batty Bruno / Beardsley / Shearer bench: Given, Albert, Venison, Gordon, Tonali, Isak, Lee coach: Eddie for all Ginola was a far better footballer than Robert in pariticular but others in there too, Asprilla was more skillful than any of them and Keegan's football and achievements with us will never be matched. Venison because he was great for us in three different positions in three different seasons and great captain material

Was a Milan-esque from days of yore performance at Arsenal. Sandro playing the role of Albertini.

They just don't suit being expansive as a team or club, so hopefully the new owners are ignorant enough to try just that.
-
Getting relegated twice and being reduced from midtable/top half club with ambition to at least maintain that to yo-yo club status - a scenario infinitely more of a financial risk than if they were left alone - for spending what they could afford to.Would hate to think what punishment a club trying to form a new league and change and damage the dynamic of football in this country would get if ever such a thing happened.

I'm still a bit nervous and not wanting to tempt fate, its not based on logic. If we'd have made it 3-0 (Barnes and another nearly one on one) I'd have felt worlds different. Man United last week proved that. 3-0 is the new 2-0.
-
Yeah but they only had one shot so it was hard to gage how it effected their shooting.
-
We've a surprisingy good record in semi's historically (i recall someone saying around one of the 98-2000 semi finals)
-
Liverpool are blessed in finals I feel, probably the last team I'd expect to lose one other than Real Madrid. Whilst were cursed, approaching Benfica levels.
-
Spurs being due one over us would be the only thing. Liverpool trailing going into a home-leg is just up their street though, they've been through this plenty of times before. They'll be more up for it and it might even stir the inhabitants to make some noise.

Always know when "Asterix" and Mickey Mouse start making appearances that they're crapping it.
-
If only to make Chelsea pay more. Not that it matters to them.

Looking forward to it. Disregarding entirely that it never seems to pan out into the enjoyable and/or reaxed football fare I imagine (Yeading, Stevenage, Cambridge - Wimbledon this season for that matter, different comp). Think we can manage games without exertion (like some recent PL games) for a good chunk of the game if we can get it won in time so wouldn't worry about any top choices playing, though no better time to rest some and get time and sharpness into others.
-
He's so good. Nervous as I can get and even in a situation like a semi I realised tonight that I'm becomming confident with him taking touches and looking to play out or beat a man where to me the situation looks like 'just bloot it'.
-
Yeah, I always feel like you cant get consistent season of top performances of the level we now need out of WIllock and Longstaff but you can get a full season out of the two of them alternating if it was that simple

Gives f*cking everything man. Worth a few struggles out of position at full-back a million times over. The body positioning, little touches and reading of situations is top but unsung stuff.
