  1. Be incredible when Pope goes, our new keeper struggles, and we've got this guy on loan again to step in

You seriously wouldn't fancy Leverkusen, Marseille, or one of the Italian clubs against Bournemouth or the mackems over two legs?

Howe should be under pressure because this season hasn't been good enough. Where these finished has nothing to do with it. Or are we turning into mackems and would have been happy with this season had we finished above them even though we've been dogshit?

I have a real hard time begrudging my mates who kept following these cunts through League One something nice, and especially those who said fair play after we won the Carabao last year, but otherwise these can get to absolute fuck. Relegation and so bad in the Europa that England won't get the extra CL spot is guaranteed by Christmas please.
  6. Also, as futile as it may be, all the best tomorrow šŸ™šŸ» you going?

Totally agree, Brazil's squad couldn't be screaming 1994 any more if Love Is All Around was number one and The Lion King was on at the cinema. So I'm sticking a tenner on them šŸ˜…

Aye, it's Portugal or Spain for me. Portugal has the best midfield in the world by a considerable distance, if they can manage the cult of Ronaldo they've got a massive chance. Hopefully Roberto Martinez lets Ronaldo run the team as I'm not sure I could handle such a massive bullshitter (Martinez) winning such a prize.

    Lewis Hall

He'll be the best left wing back on the planet for whichever manager/team he's playing for that works out that 3-5-2 is the way to break the way the game has mostly gone
  12. He'll be back at Barca as soon as Mourinho induces legendary head loss in Flick
  13. This is absolutely it. And Maresca is the useful patsy who'll do as he's told and carry on the Pep while the penalties are paid until Big Vinnie fancies it and carries it forward
  14. Couldn't agree more on the influence. If there's a question mark it's whether "Pep-ball" or that he had x-factor players won those Champions Leagues, but you still have to design the systems to facilitate those players and his teams have played some exhilarating football at times (albeit often facilitated by boring teams to death before turning it on)
  15. This lad's an idiot, poundshop Bielsa without the track record, cult following, or thought provoking tactical ideas
  16. Bit extreme to announce Pep's away just because they're struggling to sell out the new extension's grand opening at the weekend

It's got "passed to death in 35 degree heat by the first side we play who can keep the ball better than we can run" and a 2000s/2010s style "PL is the bestest league in the so world the players were knackered" inquest written all over it hasn't it. Hopefully I'm massively wrong though!

Djed Spence would be a very strange selection when there's already (supposedly) Tino and James who can cover that side if needed. If O'Reilly is his man at LB, use their ability to cover that side to take Trent. You wouldn't start him, and he can't defend to save his life, but if we need someone to find a killer pass that no-one else can see or stick a cross on Kane, Toney, Watkins or Bellingham's head in the last minute if we're getting beat, he's the man for the job.

I'd have probably taken Maguire but the last squad was the first time Tuchel called him up, and he wasn't exactly glowing in his praise of him afterwards, so it's not particularly surprising. Given Tuchel has signed on for another 2 years, Maguire probably figures that's his lot for England so nothing to lose with going straight onto the socials from his perspective, albeit he could have waited
