Ikon
Personally i don't want Sissoko or Wijnaldum to be the distributor of the ball from deep. Wijnaldum i want more as box to box in a offensive role, and Sissoko isn't a player i'd like to have there spraying the ball around either as i don't think he'd be good enough at this. But who knows, it might work. Abeid (if he can perform like he did against City) would be ideal there.
Kanj
If that was the line up I'd happily sell Sissoko for a decent wedge and find a better deep player to start next to Wijnaldum. Can't believe I'm saying that given up how much I used to rate Moussa
AyeDubbleYoo
Abeid and Anita would probably be a better deep-lying combination than any of those. TBH, I have absolutely no idea how our midfield is going to line up.
TRon
Still don't think Sissoko will be here when the window closes. I don't think we'll sell him unless we get good money so I reckon he will still be here.

Guest
I'm hoping McClaren sees in these pre-season friendlies that Colback is not the man for flowing football that he supposedly wants.

Mick
If Perez is going to start like he should then he'll have to start on the wing all things considered. Last season De Jong was hardly there and we didn't have Mitrovic, so based on that you are either replacing Sissoko or a left winger. ( which should be Aarons) Krul Janmaat Mbemba New CB New LB Sissoko Wijnaldum De Jong Perez Aarons Mitrovic Colback is a starter even if we sign Iniesta. Colback is the ginger Iniesta. He's a goal scoring midfielder who can offer drive and width, I think we'd get a buyer for £10m easily. But we would probably be looking for closer to £15m considering the price we got for Cabaye. mozy
I think the better managers view Sissoko for what he is, which is the only reason he hasn't left yet. i.e. The sides realistically above us don't need him and he wouldn't improve any of their squads. Plus the fact he struggles with basic footballing skills.

This is my take on it like, unless there's someone who fancies setting up a purely counter attacking team with him as the crux then he'll stay with us. Maybe Pardew if they let him blow more wedge. There only 3 central spots though, and going off others opinions it doesn't sound like Sissoko-Wij would work as a 2, and Wij I assume is a guaranteed starter. So you either drop De Jong or Sissoko, or play Sissoko out right which isn't ideal, but I wouldn't say it'd be a travesty of Shola up front Cisse on the wing proportions. Can't see Sissoko reacting well to being dropped to the bench in a Euro's year either. Making more and more sense to sell and reinvest in a proper right winger if we can get a good price. Just a shame De Jong's injury record is so pants.

Lenny
Right wing isn't Sissoko's best position but he's proven he can get assists there. Of all the square peg/round hole scenarios we could potentially have, this one bothers me the least.

Unbelievable
Wijnaldum can do that role too, although it's a similar case of not being his best position. Maybe we will see them swapping positions during the game (if both are fit to play and eligible; it 's a squad game)?
