SUPERTOON
Tomorrow's pre-match press conference cancelled. Good sign I guess. Yep, would suggest that he is on his way out, not sure if it will be in time for mondays match though.

r0cafella
Tomorrow's pre-match press conference cancelled. Source? SSN reporter on twitter. Sounds like he's getting binned and we don't have a replacement secured yet to me.
bowlingcrofty
Tomorrow's pre-match press conference cancelled. They're contracted by the Premier League to do one, are they not? Aye, but they could easily do it Monday morning if this is all settled.
Stifler
He doesn't have to do a press conference until Sunday. He usually doesn't do one until Friday in anyway.
SUPERTOON
Craig Hope: "I understand NUFC hierarchy are now preparing to speak to Steve McClaren for the first time since the weekend." Left it long enough ffs Surely to just sack him now then? Maybe we have had a positive answer from one of our targets and can finally get rid. Aye, but they could easily do it Monday morning if this is all settled. Aye, just seen that SSN are reporting it's being "postponed". This can only mean that he's being booted like and we're trying to get a replacement secured first. They'd let him do the conference tomorrow if he was still intended to be in post. xLiaaamx
I wanted to like him becase unlike Pardew and Carver he doesn't seem a total prick. Unfortunately it just hasn't worked. The game has passed him by it seems. He's far too afraid to make big changes and has only tried 2 systems all season. Why the hell have we never played a 433? It's been our best source of points in recent years and he hasn't used it once.

Figures 1-0 Football
Aye, as a person he seems quite a decent bloke but his time here has not worked out for whatever reason. I have no dislike for him, other than the fact he's not a very good manager for us. Would like to see him pick up a nice job in the Championship or something. St1pe
I was reading in the latest Chronicle that they haven't had any direct contact with Benitez but both parties are interested or something a long those lines.... What exactly have they been doing for 3-4 days? We still seem miles away from doing anything decisive.
U2
Craig Hope: "I understand NUFC hierarchy are now preparing to speak to Steve McClaren for the first time since the weekend." Ah, preparing. In a classic Newcastle style, this means that they'll actually speak to McClaren at some point next month.

In a classic Newcastle style, this means that they'll actually speak to McClaren at some point next month. Without actually preparing.

What exactly have they been doing for 3-4 days? We still seem miles away from doing anything decisive. This. It's a complete farce. I mentioned that I had heard similar on Talksport, this morning. Are we one of the only clubs that do this? "Preparing a bid." "Planning talks." "Sounding out." Etc. Everything takes forever. Just get it done, FFS. Figures 1-0 Football
Sit down and hold on lads! We're preparing to make moves! In a few days time we'll be releasing a statement about how we couldn't "get it over the line". Love this time of the year, reminds me of transfers. Alberts Mustache
I can see Charnley walking around in a circle in his office. "I can't just call Benitez, can I? What if he says no?! No, this is stupid, I don't even have his number. Shut up, STEVE, I'm trying to think! Better sleep on it"
