Skeletor
Can only think there's something more in this. Either Oliver is right and fair play if he is, or there's something dodgy that's come out. I said that earlier

Guest Guinness
Fucking stupid, should have at least given him until the end of the season. I really don't understand this decision, not only will it completely mess up any transfer plans, but if the board are shown to act this hastily how will we be able to attract a decent manager? colinmk
Holy shit, hope it's not Shearer.
Yorkie
Can only think there's something more in this. Either Oliver is right and fair play if he is, or there's something dodgy that's come out. Considering we're making approaches and signing players, i think that's a fair assumption. Just what the fuck's happened? I'm surprised a lot with Newcastle but i think this is the msot surprised i've been. I can think of few other things that has taken me a back like this! Unbelieveable. BlueStar
If there's a top class manager in the wings, then it's an excellent and bold decision. If it's Shearer or some no-mark, panic stations as far as I'm concerned.
Guest Spurs_from_Africa
Could it be Jol actually? Would you want Jol as manager?
Guest Geordiesned
Oh Christ, knuckle draggers on Sky Sports outside St James' already chanting for Shearer!
Dr Venkman
ungh, fucks sake i'm guessing either 1) they've got someone with big bollocks lined up 2) he cant be arsed with the stick 3) there's been some severe disagreement over transfers good luck sam, it could've been great

Guest Phil K
Sorry Sam - but wrong man for the job. Another catastrophic Shepherd decision which costs us mightily. We'll see who's brought in.
Alberto2005
Newcastle United Chairman Chris Mort said: "Mike and I would like to place on record our thanks for Sam's efforts and wish him well for the future. "A new manager has not yet been appointed at Newcastle United. We will make a further announcement on the managerial position when appropriate." Very interesting comments indeed, these comments don't indicate we plan on searching for a new manager at all, i think they've got someone lined up. dcmk
So if new manager can't get results in the next two months when will you lot start asking for his head too?
9
Hardly a supprise, fans chanting for shearer, banners wanting Big sam out etc..
Karjala
MUST have a top manager lined up, wouldn't make any sense to sack him otherwise. Now gives the new man 3 weeks of the transfer window and the rest of the season to plan on next year. Good move IF a top manager does come in. Chris_R
Really shocked by this. Thought he'd get longer, even though the team have been playing absolutely awfully. I really don't know what to make of it. My opinion will very much depend on who is announced as his successor. At the moment I'm just in shock with no opinion either way. Guest RodrigoPalacio
Fucking gutted. What a wank decision. When are we ever going to give a manager time? Give you 10-1 for someone to be appointed this Jan and for him to have been sacked before the end of the year.

Guest alijmitchell
Fucking hell!!!!! The man should have been given a season at least. They have to have someone lined up, or i'll cry.
WhatTheFunk
Thanks for the effort Big Sam. Wrong time for you. Good luck. Interested in Diarra and a portuguese defender. Got to be Jose!!! Fuck me! what happens to the backroom staff??
