Mugatu
How long left before the transfer window locks? You mean "slams shut". It no longer slams shut as the PVC warped when Sunderland set it on fire last season.

Teasy
Maybe Gomis just doesn't want to join us? If that was the case then Lyon would have accepted our offer and allowed Gomis to turn the transfer down. But we never heard of any offer being accepted. Super Duper Branko Strupar
You can bet the problem will be a nominal amount somewhere that we're reluctant to pay.
KaKa
The issue seems to be between Gomis and Lyon. Both sides appear to be happy with us, so it's down to the two to sort it out really.

If he was so desperate to move here you'd have thought he'd have compromised a little. He does seem to have a history of turning down moves in order to run his contract down. On the "more" front, he could be quibbling with Lyon over his "loyalty" bonus players always seem to get when they leave anywhere. So we could, in reality, have a problem between him and Lyon. Yeah, that's kind of what I was insinuating, with the issue potentiall y being between Gomis and Lyon. I'm bored of this either way.

That makes no sense. If they both were happy with what we're offering he'd be here now. It also makes no sense that Lyon would reject our offer because Gomis didn't want to move. I don't see why all the news sources would have gone with our offer being rejected if it wasn't. Could it possibly be that Lyon are willing to accept our offer if Gomis gives up his loyalty bonus/transfer percentage? He's not willing to do that so they rejected it even though they were happy with the amount we offered? EDIT: See someone else already thought of that.
