Astroblack
The save from the Costa shot was sublime.
Tiresias
Credit to being composed but don't think he's ready yet, stayed on his line too much then when he did come out we conceed. Well done to him and hope he develops but scared if he's going to be getting games now.
durhamunigeordie
Totally agree about staying on his line - there were a couple of times he could have come out and swept up if he wasn't on his line. Nerves no doubt and would like to see him get a run to see if he has what it takes.
Sammys_Tekkers
Did solid considering it was his first ever Premiership match (May have been his first ever match for us, cba to check). Seemed hesitant to come off his line in a few instances, expected though with his lack of experience.

Yeah will definitely improve, but wish he was getting a run against easier opposition than he will if he's playing from now on

TRon
Again, rather him than Jelly belly Only because Jelly bean is a grade A Pardew arse licker. Jak's not ready for this sadly, but then Mr Blobby shouldn't even be here.
Flip
Again, rather him than Jelly belly Only because Jelly bean is a grade A Pardew arse licker. Jak's not ready for this sadly, but then Mr Blobby shouldn't even be here. None of them are ready though, but I'd rather give someone like Jak who still has a lot to learn a chance than Blobby. Jak started well, but made a bit of a mistake for the goal but still managed to regroup and make couple of saves.
Pilko
Shite for the Drogba goal, otherwise did well enough considering. Would rather see what he's made of than endure Fat Rob.

Numbers
Was it just me or did he stay on his line a bit too much, there were a lot of opportunities for him to come out and claim the ball but he stayed on his line.
SEMTEX
Seemed to stay on his line too much at the low byline crosses, but come out a lot on anything high enough for him to punch away. Looked a little flustered in general but was mostly solid. Not sure much can be judged from his cameo today. It's not like he had all that many shots to deal with. Guest Gino14
I'd prefer he wasn't thrown in totally at the deep end, but he might have to be. The games we have coming up could wreck the confidence of a young goalkeeper and that would be counter productive. It'd be nicer if he got a couple of cup games instead of a run against Arsenal, Sunderland, Tottenham and Man Utd. Lose all of them and if he plays poorly, satan will be skating to work before he gets another chance.
ponsaelius
Keith Downie @SkySports_Keith 10m10 minutes ago Alan Pardew confirms Jak Alnwick will continue in goal against Arsenal next weekend with Rob Elliot now facing time on the sidelines. GeordieT
I thought he looked very dodgy if I am honest. Couple of moments he absolutely had to come for the ball and yet he hesitated and stayed put. Sure a lot of it was nerves though.
Newcastle Fan
He was fine, would much rather have him than Elliot as he can progress and improve unlike the fat cunt.
healthyaddiction
What does Pardew criticise him for? Rolling it out. Needs some intensive hoof it training.

LRD
We not get an emergency loan ?! No value in that. We still have Woodman, Junior and Woodman, Fat.
sempuki
Unless we flog Krul or Blobby throws a wobbler, he will be on his way in June with his contract running out. Darlow will be number 2 if Krul stays and they seem to rate Woodman.
